I bought my wedding dress. It is gorgeous and was on sale for $199. I love it, I just have to make sure I don't gain any wait before the wedding because the dress fits perfectly. I don't need to have it altered at all.

It's it great to find the dress you want....I brought my dress off of ebay $50.00...I priced the same dress a a bridal shop for $700, I hope I don't gain any weight either...smile

Congrats on both your dresses!! My step mom's mom is making mine, so I'll probably have her make it a little big and mail it to me, and I'll get alterations done here. She's a great dressmaker, and I've seen my step mom's wedding dress that she made, and it's similar to the one that I want, so if all goes well, it'll be great.

Just eat lots of veggies and drink lots of water! That's how I'm keeping from blowing up during my pregnancy!

it doesnt matter how much you pay.. or DONT pay for your dress, it should & WILL make you feel like a million dollars..

I have seen dresses I have fallen in love with but can't afford one yet. I have to wait till i get the money for my wedding early next year. I saw a very very nice one on e-bay for only $250 and I want it. I will have to wait and see once I get my money to spend. I want a dress with color on it. I know thi smuch. I want purple but I will know when i see the right dress. I cant wait I want to go shoppign now.

My best friend is giving me her dress and I will have to have it altered because it is alittle big (no..i will not grow into it.) and Im thinking about having it shortened to suit me better but I lucked out getting a beautiful dress for $0.

You are very fortunate to have such a generous friend. I don't know if I could hand my wedding dress off to someone else to wear. For me peronsally it is such a personal thing.

Try getting a photobucket account. You just upload the pics from your pc to site then copy and paste the image link onto your post.

I saw a picture of a dress on a boutiques webpage. I emailed them to find out more about the dress. It was a Maggie Sottero, Tayla style gown, and they wanted $800 for the dress!! That is way out of our budget! So I kept looking around on the internet for it. One place wanted $1200 for that dress. I never tried on any dresses or went "Dress Shopping." One day I found the dress on EBAY!! It was the exact same one that I was looking for. It was brand new with the tags & certificate of authenticity. I paid $350 for the dress, shipping, and shipping insurance. I was nervous about sending that much money for something thatI had only seen pictures of. It arrived within 2 weeks, and it is perfect!! If anyone is looking for a specific dress, check EBAY!!!

It feels amazing when you know you have the perfect dress, I hope you all find your perfect dress. Designer dresses are beautiful but to be realistic most of us can't afford a $2000 dollar dress anyway You should all try David's bridal I can't say enough about that store it carries many dresses that are almost exactly the same as the designer ones. It has the popular styles. Besides they have very skilled seamstresses my God Mother works there and she made me my dress. It is amazing when she found out I was engaged she called me and told me to go to her hous the next week I went and she gave me the most beautiful dress.
