For the most part, I don't mind out weather. Sometimes its annoying that one day it could be 80 degrees and the next day its 30 degrees...but for the most part, I like the weather in the midwest. I feel ripped off this year though on my fall...it was so warm up until a few days ago, now its just right fall weather, but now today they are talking snow and possibly up to a few inches by the end of the week....thats just not right to me.

Arctic Air and Snow has Arrived!
Tuesday, October 10, 2006
Arctic cold front
The strong arctic cold front that I have been talking about over the past several days has pushed through most of the prairie region as of late Tuesday afternoon. Check out the analyed temperature plot of the prairie region from 4 p.m. Tuesday. The top map is in celsius, while the bottom is in Fahrenheit. Note, the sharp gradient close to the U.S. border in southeastern Manitoba, then extending into central Alberta. The southern edge of that tight gradient is the location of the arctic cold front. In Winnipeg, Manitoba the temperature dropped to freezing in a matter of hours, as rain quickly changed over to a period of steady snow!
Blizzard!
If you think it was bad in Winnipeg, look what happened in Churchill, Manitoba! Heavier snow moved into the area late Tuesday afternoon with northerly winds sustained at 96 kph (60 mph) with gusts to 120 kph (75 mph), creating blizzard conditions!!!! By the way, the AccuWeather Realfeel temperature was -16 celsius (3 F) at the time.

I didn't pick any of the choices, because none of them apply to me. I was moved to Phoenix, Arizona by my parents. Other than the 3 months of hot summer, I love the weather here. Today's high will be 90 degrees, and the low 65 degrees.:)

There is not a choice for me either. I was born here, but I defiantely am not used to the heat and the humidity. I HATE the weather here! I would rather it not be so hot in the summer and I would like to see a little bit of snow each year. Our winters are cold and rainy. I like it better than the long, hot summer though.

I love summer the hotter the better and like you I like a little bit of snow, but where I live, we get lots of snow and its too cold to try and enjoy it

It's not the heat that is the problem. Really it is the humidity. The humidity level is usually 100%. You sweat and it does not even dry. It just sits on you and boils. It can be really miserable.

It's OK, I just don't like the winters ... could be worse but could be better too. I was born here and I'm pretty much used to it, but not happy about it.

I want to live somewhere in Florida one day. I would love to live somewhere where it is like 60-80 degrees all year around.

I wouldn't give up our Canadian climates for anything!!!!!

We have 4 distinct seasons and although sometimes it feels like winter is never going to end, I do enjoy each one. I couldn't live in a place that felt or looked like it had the same season all year round.

Spring - Everything budding, flowers blooming - what could be better? Summer - t-shirts, warm sun, swimming outdoors - who doesn't love that?
Fall - the beautiful foliage, warm sweaters, crisp air - my favourite time of the year!
Winter - fresh clean snow, pink cheeks, cuddling under the blankets, a roaring fire :) I can't imagine Christmas without snow!

I can't imagine Christmas without snow!

I couldn't have ever imagined Christmas with snow until 2 years ago when we had a white Christmas in south east Texas! Who would have ever imagined!

Here is a pic of Brownsville which is farther south than us. Look at the palm trees with the snow!

Here is in Seabrook, which is also a just a tid bit south of where I live.

I wish we would have taken pictures, but we didn't.

This from the Farmers' Almanac.

The 2007 Farmers’ Almanac, released August 28, 2006, predicts the frigid temperatures, as much as 20 degrees below seasonal norms (and nearly 40 degrees colder than last winter), for Montana, the Dakotas and parts of Wyoming. For the Gulf Coast up through New England, unseasonably cold, or “shivery,” conditions are expected.

That would be cool to get some unseasonably cold stuff for us here on the Gulf Coast! Bring winter on baby!

I kinda miss getting like 2 or 3 foot snow drifts. I blame global warming. It was really cold here today. I had to walk to catch the bus for class. We don't have a thermometer outside but its probably 30s or 40s maybe. There were people yesterday, wearing tshirts, shorts and flip flops! Smart ones.

Although i was born here. I grew up in the desert so i am not yet used to the humidity and all the rain that Ontario gets. I could use some more sunny not humid.
