They are not hard to make. My mom actually did one for me, but at the last minute (well, like a week before) I decided not to wear it. I wanted everything to be simple, yet elegant,a nd that was just too over the top for me. Good Luck!:geek:

I thought about trying to do mine myself but found one on e-bay that I loved for like $30 and it looks exactly like the one you posted but mine is much longer.

That's a great idea!!!! I love the idea of making things that much more personal and able to get exactly what you want and your ideal length. Can't wait to see it all done! Good Luck!

I actually would love to make mine too. I thought that it would be a good area to save some $$ on. I might have a lady I work with make it. She made her own and says that it is really easy. Let me know how you do it, in case I want to try to tackle it. I am kind of scared about trying, but would love to know that I actually made it!! Good luck

Well I finished a smaller version of what I want my veil to look like. After researching the internet to find out how to put the ribbon on I found out that it needs to be sewn on. I am not a sewer. I had a friend tell me to try and hot glue it on but don't do that it will look like ****. So I found this stuff at Walmart where you can adhere anything onto fabric with a iron. So I am going to try and attempt this.
I bought 2 yards of tulle
Ribbon
Clear Hair Comb
Jewels
Lay out your tulle and use weights so it will stay in place
If you want curves in your veil you can use a cd and cut the curve.
Cut tulle to desired length (my length is going to be shoulder length to elbow length)
If using ribbon you will need to have it sewed on. fold over the edge of tulle and pin on your ribbon and then sew. Use clear thread.
You can hand sew on or hot glue on your jewels wherever you would like them placed.
Take the top middle of your veil and pinch then start on the right side and slowly gather until it is puckered to the middle and repeat for left side. You can either hot glue the tulle onto the comb or you can sew the tulle onto the hot comb If sewing use clear thread.
Take your ribbon and wrap the ribbon around the comb to hide the tulle that you just sewed or hot glued on and your finished. I will post a pic as soon as I get it uploaded. this is only a small version and does not have the ribbon on it yet.

thanks everyone. I know I have to get it on one of these days my house just seems to be so dark and gloomy lately that the pics are horrible. I just wish the rain would go away and the sun would come out just for a little while lol.
