To be completely honest, I know how I am and I know that I would not want to continue on. :( Now, I don't know if I would be able to do anything about it, but I know I wouldn't want to live like that.

Eric and I were talking about this sort of thing the other day. I told him that I did not want to be a burden to him if I were to become totally disabled. He got kind of quiet and told me that he had already made the decision for himself as to caring for his wife because he took me to be his wife for better or for worse in sickness and in health. Then............he asked me if I would care for him and I said of course I would....then he said good, we have an understanding....you are my wife not my burden.

I can't even imagine living like that...........

I voted that I couldn't even imagine what it would be like, but I think that if it were to happen, I would probably want to continue living. The only thing I'm certain of is that I would not want to continue living if I were a complete "vegetable" and am planning on making al iving will stating that fact.

I can't imagine how i would feel. Devistated of course. But depending on the quality of life i would have makes my answer change.

If we are talking about disabled like Stephen or Christoper then, yes, I would like to go on.

If they could make a contribution to society (and oh how they have!!!!!), then who am I to think that I couldn't make some sort of small difference to those around me as well.

I wouldn't want to continue on, but I would have to for my kids and the rest of my family.
