I have so many questions about my whole wedding thank you for all your help. I am kind of doing this all on my own. My parents got married a long time ago in Mexico and so things are very thirty some years later and in a different Country so my mom can only give me some information. Does the church and your priest sign you up for the pre-matrimonial classes? How long are the classes to be taken for?

That is something that you have to speak to the Priest about. Every church and religon have different standards on counseling. If you need anything else, let us know!

She's right. It just depends on the church and the minister. We have to go though 4 classes within a month, so about once a week. But I know a lot of places it is a lot more in depth, and a lot of places don't even require it. Just check with your church! Good Luck!

We went to a weekend class and we had to pay $100. for it. They gave us several options. Like a retreat, to see our own therapist, or their classes. we chose their classes. but like they said, every church is different.

yes, i agree with the others. I am getting married in an Episcopal church, so I just emailed my reverand and asked him what the requirements are. he told me we have to meet with him three separate times, and that we'll be discussing issues like finances.,how to handle anger and fights, spiritual issues, etc. it really depends - churches are very different i think. but i personally think it's a great idea to do this premarital counseling!
