I have two E rings. The one that DH proposed with (that was meant to hold the place for the real one that we would pick out together) and my real E ring, now on my left hand.

I had a minor (ok major) melt down tonight. Hugh brought my home my "almost diamond" and as he slipped it on my finger, I noticed that my small E ring was missing!!!!!! I started to ball immediately!

I am so jewellery loyal. I don't wear cosmetic jewellery and every piece I have has some meaning - my dad's gold med-alert bracelet, the pearl earings my dad gave me, the opal Hugh gave me etc. In a lot of ways, the smaller E ring is more important to me than the E ring I wear on my left hand.

I couldn't think straight! When did I last notice it on my finger?!!! I know I didn't take it off so did it fall while I was sleeping last night? What was I doing today? I had a bath last night - maybe it slipped off? Did it come off in my sleep?

I was pretty busy today, cleaning, putting away laundry, gathering garbage, organizing, making beds, rearranging furniture, packing to go away this weekemd etc. so it could be anywhere!!!! Still blubbering, I frantically tore at the bed, looked through the laundry, scoured the bathroom. Hugh was so cool .... he started sifting through the garbage.

I was almost in hysterics when I looked down and there it was, on the floor in front of my dresser and then I bawled even louder because I found it.

Now I am sure that Hugh thinks he married the most emotionally unstable woman alive!!!!!

Come on ladies, back me up - how would you react if you lost a piece of jewellery that had some meaning behind it???

Elizabeth I would be the same way. I am so gld you found it.

I am the same way with my jewlery. I have my dimond and wedding band on my left hand but on my right I replaced my unicorn ring with my promise ring Nicholas gave me. This was the ring he proposed to me with. it is a bit small for that finger but I dont ever take it off. I also have a silver chaine that does not come off that he gave me for Valentine's Day. I would act the sam way. And Nicholas would probable think the same thing but would help me look as well.

Hey you got your dimond you asked him to bring home. That is so cute.

Absolutly i would be in tears as well. I lost an anklet that my dad brought back from Mexico once. I couldn't remember where i had last seen it on me. But it was gone. I was really upset but i couldn't rip everything apart because i could have lost it at school or work. Granted its not my e-ring. But a couple months later we were moving the furniture in our bedroom arround and i was vaccuming where the bed once sat and as i pushed the vaccum over the carpet i saw something silver and shiney. I freaked. Mark came in to find me looking in the beater bar. He took out the bag and ripped it open and sorted through all the hair and dirt and everything! We found a sock but no anklet. It's long gone.

I would be in tears if I just lost a piece of meaningless, rhinestone jewelry! I am so glad you found it!

One time in the other house I took off my rings infront of the computer. I was on Onewed and figured there could be no harm. That night as I was making supper I looked down and FREAKED out!! Where were my rings? I back tracked every where I had been, I searched three floors of that freakin house and do you think I could find them? I looked every where including the computer room!! I was in hysterics and so mad at myself. How in the world could I have lost the most meaningful rings ever given to me!!! So I sat down infront of the computer to cry and pushed the key board away from me and out slides my rings!! I could have died!!!

I totally understand how you feel!! So glad you found your ring!! :D
