I am going to be married in 540,000 minutes I am a little excited we got engaged in Feb of 2005 We have gotten all of our major things done or at least secured the date including flowers (we are useing fake flowers so they last longer!!) and all of our favors, the rings dress andd tuxs are all also done! I feel like we missed something but I am not sure maybe we jumped the gun.. i dunno. when should we send out "remember the date card" and invitations? When is it appropriate to get the license does it expire after a certain time? please help!

When is your day? The invitations should go out about 4-6 weeks before the ceremony. You will have to check with your local clerks office about the license as its different in every state and county. Good Luck!

Typically if your RSVP cards do not come back to you by the time you have specified, you HAVE to call them and make sure that they even recieved the invitation and wether or not they are coming. We sent our invitations out five months in advance to Germany, two months in advance to people across the country and one month in advance to the rest. When we didn't recieve all the RSVPs we got our butts on the phone and found out what the hold up was. As far as "back up guests"....what the??? If you didn't invite them in the first place, they may be insulted that you send them an invitation like two weeks before the wedding because they will know that they were "back UPs". I don't think having back up guests is a very wise decision! These people have feelings, be careful here!

6 weeks is plenty of time.. as long as you are mailing within the US, as Candianbride said. Just decide on an RSVP date and go from what CB told ya! Calm down, it will all work out!!!!
