I need help, AGAIN, ladies.

We have to buy our attendant gifts yet, and are not sure what to get. We can't spend alot of money, and have 8 attendants to buy for. I was thinking that fancy pic frames would be nice, since most have families, but then, not all of them do. And then if we did that, some would be getting two frames since some of our attendants will be couples.

And is there an amount that you are supposed to spend?

Any suggestions?

I don't think there is a set amount you are supposed to spend. On the girls we have spent about $40 on them. I bought them a Austrian crystal necklace and matching earrings. We bought the necklaces and earrings at 2 separate times so we didn't feel the pain of spending that much at one time. Justin has not gotten anything for the guys yet and I haven't gotten anything for my flower girls yet either.

The reason we bought them the necklaces and earrings was so they could all have the same jewelry at the wedding.

So it's ok for thier gifts to be the jewlery that they wear?

Our gifts were the jewelry and gloves that the girls wore and Mike wanted to get the guys mag lights. I know, it's unusual, but they love flashlights and they went over really well.

We gave the girls the jewellery that they wore to the wedding. At a bridal shop i found a matching necklace, braclet and earings for $40.
We gave the guys multi tools that had their names engraved on them.

I don't think there is a set amount that you are supposed to spend. I think that they will be grateful for any gift you give them!

Definitely. I was in a wedding a few years ago, and our gifts were the earrings and necklace to wear with our dresses. And, I've used both the earrings and necklace since, so it was worthwhile for the bride as a gift as well.

At my sister's wedding, she bought our jewelry (that was my idea) and also paid for our hair to get done. Those are great gifts, and less $$ for us to have to spend.

For Amber's wedding, the BM's gifts were their jewelry, their shoes, and their hair and makeup. They loved everything! Good luck with your choices, Heather!!! :grinhappy:

I only have one attendant, so I've been thinking about treating her to a spa day. Her and I go and get massages, manicures and pedicures. We already decided to use the jewelry we wore at her sister's wedding.

My girls got monogrammed purses with Bath and Body goodies inside. The guys got sterling pocket knives engraved with their names and the date and the boys (RB'S) got engraved sterling yo-yo's and the FG got a mini tote just like the BM's with a Disney Princess outfit, hair bow and play cell phone.

For my BM's I purchased their jewerly for them to wear at the wedding, also some nice candles with a candle ring with me and FH name on them, and a bathroom bag. For the Men we purchased some nice heavy mugs with their intial's on them. If you have a local engraver shop near by it will be cheaper to purchase the items at the store them have them engraved that's what im doing and I saved a bundle.

I bought the bridesmaid dresses, but I also purchased silver lockets (hard to find, but Blue Nile has them for $50 if anyone is looking).

I've taken part in three weddings as a bridemaid and have at various times received pottery, a wooden angel sculpture and jewelry. Just like any other occasion, if the gift is from the heart it doesn't matter what it is. :)

I'm struggling with this too. My sister is MatronOH and my daughter is MaidOH. Bill's daughter is BM. His two sons are Best Men and my son is the GM. The girls would be easy, I'm buying jewelry for all to match, but my sister only wears yellow gold and probably won't wear the necklace ever again, so I feel like I've got to find something extra for her. And, what do you get 3 teenage boys (19, 17, and 13)???? OY!!!

We got the guys money clips which his mother was able to engrave for free. For the girls, I bought them the jewelry they were going to wear on the day.
