The WORST part was the fact that my friend who was doing sound and MCing kept heckling us because we didn't cake smash and made us take another bite.... I so wanted to cake smash him for making me eat more of that cake! Grr!

You should seriously send that pic to your baker and ask for some sort of refund or something. No bride should have a cake that disgusting, it is so obvious that you are trying to not make a scene, but can barely choke it down.

I'm not entirely sure what went wrong with the cake... but I have an inkling that it was stored wrong at the reception site because it was brought there Friday night.. and by the time we ate it on Saturday, the buttercream frosting definately tasted like more like butter than frosting...
