I figured maybe I should give you ladies a little update on my soon to be hubby...
His blood sugars are getting back to a steady level! THANK GOD!!!!!! His memory seems to be sticking more aswell. I don't know if I mentioned this but the neurologist gave him some "super happy fun pills" as he calls them (anti anxiety pills) and there working like magic! Aside from the little trauma his mother caused him he's been ok with his anxiety lately.
By no means is this over and I know it won't be for quite some time but there is a light at the end of this long tunnel and it gets brighter everyday. I showed Kevin the wonderful posts from you girls and he wanted to say thank you aswell. He doesn't and he won't remember from the end of January to late March but we have a lifetime together to build memories.
Thank you all again for your kind thoughts and prayers. They really have worked!!! All of you are such wonderful women!

So I get a call from one of my BM's last night and we started to chit chat. She's been trying to help me with all my wedding plans while this has all happend with Kevin because she's fresh from her own wedding and so on. She made me realize last night that I still have A LOT to do!!! So it's good frieday and I've been sitting on the phoen calling places and harassing people. So it just goes to show that if you get stressed you get it all accomplished lol I have a limo booked for 4 hours for $400! And I also have a DJ all set up for my big day. I got next Sunday to sign the contracts. 2 more things off of the chopping block! SWEEEET!!!!

Oh ya it's a massive relief!!! It still puts me in the twilight zone when I think about what happend with Kevin. Just that it was a normal day and boom out of knowhere this all happend! The good part is that he hasn't been able to argue with me about any wedding details though lol.

Our next mission is to print and make the invites and I wanna test out a coupel of ideas for a centrepiece. I'll post pics of what I try when I do them for all to see.

So I just got off the phone with the limo company, they faxed me the contract and I signed it and faxed it back. The limo is a done deal! YAAAAHOOOOOO!!!!!!!!!!! I'm so happy. It's a 2006 Lincoln in black. $400 is all it's gonna cost me. What a relief, as this was a major panic attack when I fist started to plan. I've been dancing around the house chanting "I booked a limo, I booked a limo, la la la la la la!!!" We have Jamie this weekend and the poor kid must think I'm crazy dancing around the halls lol.

So Sunday will mark 5 months till the wedding OMG!!!! Where did all the time go? Seriously, it was 16 months what feels like yesterday. I'm stressing but at the same time I'm getting very excited! I'm gonna be a wife soon! yahhhh

But I'm moving right along with schedule. Tuesday my MOH and one of my BM's are gonna play hookie and we've got stuff to do. First we're gonna go over and I'm gonna try on my dress. Probably gonna bring it home too because they're really not wanting it to stay there. My BM said that she would take it for me so that prying eyes wouldn't have the chance to see. Then we're gonna come back to my place and get creative with centrepieces. I'm gonna play with orchids and a lily and different things to submerge them with. So it could be interesting!!!

I'll be sure to take lots and lots and lots of pictures of us this whole day.

So I figured you guys should hear one of my great blonde moments of my wedding planning thus far...

So I was at work the other day and I was on a mission to find a hairdresser and make up artist for the wedding. So there I am sitting at my desk while I had some free time from the kids calling all over Toronto. I had like 2 pages worth of studios I had found and I was calling and calling. So I came to one and it was called "transformations" I thought "oh I've heard of this" and I called. I start to gab away with the girl and so on and we're talking it up. I see the phoen number has the same first 2 digits as mine so it must be close. She tells me the location and it's right at the next intersetion. I explained this to her and we continued to gab away. She explains to me that it's near the blockbuster at that intersection. I think nothing of it. Then she brings up that it's attached to the same building as the blockbuster. I finally got it... It's my hairdressers place!!! I've been going there for like 7 or 8 years!!!!!!!!!!! I just hadn't gone because it was more expensive and I hadn't had that kind of money to spend on a haircut! I was actually talking to MY hairdresser on the phone! I've never felt more stupid in my whole life!!! The enire place had a great laugh at my expense and well lets just say I had no other choice then to book it after all of this. But luckily it was the cheapest I had found suprisingly and I know that they will do a wonderful job. So ya one of MANY blonde moments to come I'm sure!!!

So ladies it's official... I just sent out my STD's (I still giggle everytime I write that lol)
We didn't do the traditional STD's cause it's only about 5 people in England, 2 in Iceland and 1 in British Columbia that required them. The rest of the guests know about it and there is no need to go coo coo sending them out. We just made a simple little e-mail with a picture of the 2 of us, some nice writing and so on. So it's DONE!
I can cross that off my list now yahhhhhhhhhhhhh!!!!

So it looks liek tomorrow will be my busiest day of planning since becoming engaged. My BM is coming over tomorrow to start boot camp under my butt! We have soooooooooo much to do. We're starting here at 10am and we'll finish with a waxing session tomorrow night. I'm going to get my first brazillion! AHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! She thought this would be a nice "treat" for me, WHATEVER! I'm scared to death!
But we have a million things to do tomorrow inclusing playing with centrepieces so that I can stock a flower wholesale place and find out what I wanna do and how much it'll cost me. Plus we're doing the draft of our invites on the computer and so on and so on.
I could hate weddings by the time tomorrow is over. Bring on the booze! lol

HOLY COW!!! Where has the time gone????????????? Liek seriously we had 16 months till the wedding at one point and now we're almost at 4 months! AHHHHHHHH!!!
So Kevin's Mom will be coming in next weekend to take care of Kev's nephews and neice as there has been a very large family emergency on his side, something I'll tell you about when I have more time. His parents will also be venturing to England and France and they will be takign over our invitations to our out of country guests. So that means I gotta get my A$$ in gear BIG TIME!!!! I pretty much need about 10 invites done by next weekend.
But the problem is that all these people want to look over my invite on the computer and they all CHANGE IT!!! So I'm gonna have to cut someones head off in the near future.
So the bunus is that we'll have some of them done soon for you all too see! Yahhh for you not so much for me.

Our weekend ahead of us...
Well to start we found out a coupel of weeks ago that my Mom has the begining stages of Glucoma(sp?) So she was in yesterday for a pretty nasty eye surgery where they had to make hoels in her eyes to reduce the pressure. So Friday nigth is a pretty chill one. Plus I began to hemmerage again so that's put a stop to me running around.
Tomorrow night we're going to be havign a "toga party" for one of my best friends who is also a BM of mine. Unfortunatly I'll be sitting around cause of my tummy, but it'll be a good time for Kev. He obviously hasn't been out too much.
I'll make sure and post soem pics of us in our togas once I get back home. My friend knows theres a party for her but has NO IDEA that we'll be in togas and drinking purple jesus's (grape juice and vodka) lol.

So ouir toga party was a success! Everyone got their material for their togas and it was fabulous. Nothing is worse then having any sort of a costume party and knowone else wears them. But that wasn't an issue.

So we started our invitations last night and I wanted to share a little sneak peak with you. This is the general idea of our invitations. For the purposes of going overseas we wanted to be careful that the bows weren't too big on them and so on, so these are a little different then our general invitations. I'll post pics of our response cards and all the rest of the stuff when I get it done. I just wanted to give you ladies a peak into my world.

So I'm waiting for the BM's dresses to come in. They were suppose to be in May at the latest so lets keep our fingers crossed. But more importantly lets see if 4 come in or 3! This will tell me whether or not oen of my BM's that I was having an issue with actually bought her dress or just told me she did. If she didn't she can't hide that for much longer!
I just wanna see how the dresses look on them with this colour and so on. Mostly because I want to start buying their gifts which is jewllery but I need an idea of what would look nice. The pear look is so different then the crystal look. Plus the beading on the bust of the dress is goign to be different from what they tried on as it changes with the colour of the dress from this particular company.
I'm so excited to see them though! Going out with them was just awesome to choose them and now I get to see what they really look like YAHHHHHHHH!!!!

Thanks! Your your so right it will be a giant relief. I'm loving the action of taking my pen and makign a check mark beside what's been done! The next step will be programs and flowers. I thought I was way far behind but apparently I'm catching up nicely. When Kev was sick for obvious reasons all my attention and time went to him, but I've been lucky enough to have an awesome friend who has worked with me on several nights to get stuff done.

So things are coming along nicely! I've decided to take off for the weekend of June 16th with the girls in my wedding party to Buffalo/Niagara falls to go shopping. Sure there are a ton of great places up here but I need to go down and visit my favorite store... The dollar tree!!!! Plus I wanna go into Joanne's fabrics. They have allt e kits to make your tiara and your vail. I saw them in November when I was there last so I'm gonna goa nd buy those. They had the exact styles wanted. Not to mention each is $19.99!!! SCORE!!!
and Dave's Christmas store has wonderful stuff we can use. The very petite twinkle lights are great for what I need and they're a lot cheaper there.
All in all I think it'll be a nice "bonding" experience lol. I haven't spent time with all my BM's aside from getting their dresses so this is much needed.
We're gonna stay in Niagara and go from there.

So I checked my e-mail at work today and the contracts for the show are ready for me to read over! I've read them, Kev's read them, my Mom's read them and so did my boss. Everything in it is pretty straight forward no suprises. So it's official!
Our taping will begin in July and they will be airing our episode probably next March or maybe April. We'll be one of the last of the wedding season to get tapped and therefore one of the last to air.
I'm just so thankful that I don't have to worry about all of that right now. I have too much to do then to worry about all of this too. It's great and all but I couldn't imagine trying to get soem of the nitty-gritty wedding stuff done with a camera crew following me around. Thankfully they'll be reinacting a lot of it. Pheeeeeeeeeew!

So I got the hard copies of the big contracts for the show. I mentioned a bit of this in a nother thread. They want me to pretty much stop any work I'm doing for the wedding. I think this is possibly one of the hardest things EVER!!!!!!!!! I know how much needs to be done, yet they want me to jam everything into a little bit of time. They say they'll ensure that it all gets completed, but I'm wigging right out!
Plus we need to go Berry picking in June. That's when strawberry's are in season and we need to get them for our jam. Otherwise we'll have fruitless jam as our guest gifts eeeeeeeeek! Somehow I don't see this working properly. I'm gonna give them a call on Monday and see what I can do.
Our taping will be starting in July. I'll make sure I keep it all up to date on here.
As it is, I get news or stuff and I tell you guys first. Sometimes even before Kevin lol ha ha ha poor guy.

First off let me wish all my Canadian ladies a very happy May 24!!! I hope you all had a great first long weekend of the summer. And for the US girls happy Memorial weekend. An early one but whatever.
We had a great weekend. We got a lot accomplished. I was up at my Aunts house yesterday and we spend the night there and did a big thing of fireworks and it was just nice all around. I even got a chance to touch base with my Aunt and Uncle regarding wedding stuff as they're helpign me out quite a bit with numerous amounts of things. My Uncle is the MC and is also organizing our Jack and Jill. And my Aunt is helping me organize the flowers and is buying all the necessary ingrediants for our jam that we're using as our gifts and helping us make it all.
The unfortunate is that my tummy has gone off on me againa nd I've started yet ANOTHER hemmerage! My poor little uterus is just worn. Kevin and I have agreed that if by tomorrow it hasn't let up I'll be admitted into teh hospital. but I can't let this happen. First off I'm scared to death of hospitals. With all my illnesses they keep me there for weeks. And second of all I don't get paid if I don't work. I have no sick days. Yet another reason to hate my job right? Plus I have some minute wedding details that I can only take care of here at home.
2 of our friend are comign over tonight and we'r gonna set off some fireworks. Luckily I'll be able to just lay there while they set a blaze but it's just not the same. Not to mention I'm on so many pain killers that I'll eb lucky if I stay awake.
So basically just not a good time to have this happen. But we did however ahve an excellent weekend and I got a lot accomplished around the house. I'm proud to say that Kevin and I alone opened the pool. Usually we hire a pool guy but with cost and the wedding we decided to do it. It's a lot of work and probably a good portion of the reason that I feell the way I do.

I guys, sorry I was gone for a couple of days but yes they stuck me int he hospital. I tried to take care of it on my own but sometimes that's just not possible. Even for the great procrastinator like me!!! I really didn't care about myself, but Kevin while I was in there. What would happen if he needed something? I mean with his health. So that's what stressed me out more then anything.
I've been ona full wedding mission (even when I was in the hospital!) I had my lap top without internet, but I was able to get all my addresses and guest list finalized. I even made a spread sheet for all the important stuff.
I was able to talk to my wedding planner last night too!!!! His name is David and he's so sweet and on the ball. I was able to send him all my stuff and he's gonna look it all over this weekend and try and help me out.
But I'm beginign to see things comeing together. We've got 131 guests on our list. That includes the dates of everyone and so on. And right off the top I have 4 not coming.
I'm feeling more organized and now that I have a planner in the mix I'll be MUCH better!

I just bought our cake serving set!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I'm sooooooooooooooooooooo soooooooooooooooooooo soooooooooooooooooo excited you have no idea!!! It matches our topepr and pillow perfectly. Yet anotehr touch of Disney to the wedding he he he. The next step is convincing Kevin to let me put Mickey and Minnie on the programs. It would be a sudle little touch but he hasn't budged yet :( When in dount they're gonna get stuck inside.

My tummy was doing much better, however... I'ma youth worker and I work in a day treatment program with high risk youth. They had a pretty bad fight yesterday and my boss and I went in to try and break it up. Unfortunatly I was kicked in my tummy and I swear it was like something from a martial arts movie cause I flew across the room into a wall. And I was punched int eh face. Fortunatly though, I think I may have a job lead for a new job. God I hope I do anyway. I had a mysterious call yesterday from a big agency here in Toronto on my cell phone. So my fingers are crossed!

My workplace is just FILLED with problems!!!! We're not a lisenced facility so my bosses can realy do whatever they want. Here in Ontario the legislation states that the ration of staff to clients be 1:4 that is if they're under control. If not it's a 1:1 ratio. At work I'm on a regular 1:12 ratio.
If I can find a new job you have no idea what they'll mean for me!!! And for the wedding!!!

I can imagine. I used to work in a high risk school with youths and we used to carry around Mace as most kids are bigger then me. It is scary and something I couldn't wait to get out of. So I really admire people who do that job because it is not easy. I worked there for a year and I was spit on, bit, hit, tripped, choked you name it, it happened.

Our cake serving set came in!!!!!!!!!!!! I'm so unbelievably excited! It is so detailed, and just so nice. I was so happy when I opened it and it wasn't chinsy or poor quality. Yahhhhhhhh!!!! And Thank OW for the moola to pay for it all!

So I get an e-mail today from my planner... Things were going well we were just shooting back and forth to one another pics and so on of stuff I've come up with and then he would send something. Going VERY well! THEN.... He said the worst thing possible regarding my wedding. HE DOESN'T LIKE THE DISNEY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! !!!!!! OMG!!!!!!!! I lost it. He said he likes it all but he thinks that the Disney stuff just doesn't work. I was so upset. I would fully understand this if I were going for the primary colour bipity-bopity-boo theme, but I'm not. You ladies have seen my stuff nothing tacky about it at all! It's cute, it's happy, it's me! So needless to say I stood my ground. After this little falling out I have also yet to hear back from him ha ha ha!!! Even Kevin said that he as the groom comes second to my Disney, especially my cake topper that I couldn't be more proud of lol.
So tomorrow is a new day and we'll have to see if I get an e-mail back, or if he throws his hands up, carry's a white flag and the show assigns me a new planner. he he he ha ha ha! Don't mess with the mouse man!

I had a little zilla moment yesterday actually!:bbredface: Originally we were goign to order our FG dresses from online but because my FG's are such weird little sizes we couldn't find anything that would fit them properly without having to pretty much have the dress ripped apart to be reconstructed.
So Gramma to the rescue! She's a little sewign machine and she decided that she woudl make them (it'll be awesome!!!) So there we are yesterday in Fabric Land and the lady waiting on us kept trying to tell me what I HAD to do for the dresses to look pretty. Basically the pattern has these little flower aplice's on them. And personally I think they're tacky. If she told me once she told me 16 tiems what I had to do to make them look good. Finally I lost it. I was like "This is what I'm doing, daisies aren't my theme and I really don't care if that's what the pattern says, I'm the bride and they're going to be the way I want them!!!!" I couldn't believe it! I was like WOW! oops lol. I was already on edge this just knocked me over lol. This is coming from a girl who can't eb a bee with an itch to save her life. Weddings just bring out the best in my I guess lol.

So My BM dresses were do in in early May. Well if you look at the calendar we into our second week of June!!!!!!!!! So I've been callign and harassign them. On Sunday I finally called and said "WHERE ARE THEY??????????" The lady was nice and said she would call on Monday when their store was closedas the company wasn't open on the Sunday. And she asked em to call back on the Tuesday. So I did just tht. But.......... "We're sorry the number your calling si not in service" I flipped. I called like 10 tiems just in the off chance that maybe I dialed it wrong or something. So Finally I got in teh car with Kev and we headed out of town to where the store is to see what was going on. I managed to get in their and they actually had a problem with their phone lines and it won't be up for another week. So that was taken care of however, where are my dresses?!?!?!?!
So I had a little mini flip out on them because I'm going to Buffalo next week end to go wedding shopping, and I'd really like to have something just something to use to compare colours and so on. And the last time I was there they told me no swatch was available. So I must have scared the lady cause she went to the swatch book and ripped out my colour he he he lol.
So all in all it's ok, they'll be in, in about 2 weeks (GUARANTEED!!!! by me not her!) And to eae my mind she gave me her cell phone number (which I blocked my number and called to see if she would pick up which she did).
I swear they're trying to give me a heart attack!

So I really wasn't the happiesr of campers as you may have noted if you ready my post about my family making me freaking MENTAL about the shower and a bunch of other stuff. So it put me in a poopy mood all day. I decided I needed to call my venue. That's just what I do when i get stressed with the wedding, I start to call my venders lol.
So the problem we were having was that we were in the dark about getting the place on the Friday night to set up. Otherwise morning of the wedding family would be busting their buts to get it all done which is soooooooooooo not able to happen. I ended up talking to the guy and pretty much told him that if I couldn't get it the night before we might have to pull it as a whole and find anopther venue. I was so B1tchy that it worked lol. Anyways, I was persuasive enough and now we have Thurs, Friday and Sat the wedding day to get anything and everything done yahhhhhhhhhhhh!!!!!!!!!! This was hugly important. One of my students families does all the wedding decor and was able to do it the night ebfore but not the day of. So now that's another thing to de-stress about. Just another 15000 other things to check off that list!

We just realized a little whiel ago that we had absolutly no choice left the to decorate the night before. There we all are all gussied up decorating lol. So I'm taking off today with my BM to Buffalo. We'r not going to be able to head out till tonight as opposed to our originaly plan of this afternoon due to one of my BM (the one that is ALWAYS giving my problems!) "forgetting" to ask to leave early. I say this because yesterday we had a bit of an issue... I e-mailed her, I text messaged her, I wrote on her wall on facebook and msged her on face book. And still I had NO RESPONSE. Finally after 2 days I got a call from her trying to tell me how sick she was when in fact her Mom blew her cover. My BM said she was at home in bed and I spoke with her Mom who told me that she was out at a dentist appointment. Whatever just get your butt in gear girl!!!!
Now we're goign to hit the heart of rush hour traffic on a Friday. Oye Vay!!!
Whatever, we're going to go and have a good tiem and spend soem real QT with one another.

So the ladies and I are back safely from our shopping extravaganza in upstate new york. We had an absolutly WONDERFUL TIME!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! All the girls got along fabulously and all have their shoes now too! All but me hmmm what happend there?!
We went to Joanne Fabric and I bought my veil. I'll have to take a pic of it eventually because I just looked on their site and they don't have it. I personally love it. It has tiny littly pearls placed speratically all over the 2 layers and it's a medium length I guess.
I also went to David's Bridal.... (dun dun dun dunnnnnn....) And they were absolutly great! I was so scared cause I didn't know what to expect from what I had heard from so many of you. The lady was so nice I even hugged her when I left lol. I bought my tiara there and my garters. The garters need some tweaking cause I want to transform them into tinkerbell garters but I'm really happy with them.
This is my tiara. I'm really really loving it!!! I had no idea what I wanted when I started to look but once I started to try things on I fell in love with this one in particular. It's not too big and flashy yet gives off the slightest twinkle.

So I'm thinking about changing something once again... I was in Michaels the other day and I found the spherical vases that I had initally been looking for when I bought the ones I did. These ones though that I saw at Michaels are so perfect!!!! I personally realy think it would look just stunning!!! I love the oens I have now and I'm sure I'd find a place for them as I still need a lot of decorations. And glass always looks great right? So I'm wondering now if I want to go and get them.

Ya that's basically what I'm thinking. I truthfully haven't gotten ANY decorations yet aside from some tulle and some ribbon. But I was also given 4 cases of glass candle holders from one of my BM Mom's who does events and such. So I think I'm gonna eb good to go! Plus, I think glass looks classy right? Maybe wioth some gems inside with soem candles?

I bought my shoes!!!!!!!!!!!!! My Mommy and I went out to the mall last night and I got to buy my wedding shoes. The funniest thing was, they were NOTHING like I was expecting to buy. I swear that's been the story for EVERYTHING in this wedding aside from the groom lol.
I looked online to see if they're is a pic on their website but no luck. So I need to go and get some batteries at some point within the next couple days and take a picture of a bunch of the stuff that I've purchased over the last little while.
The worst thing about the shoes though was Kevin... His comment when I put them on to show him "Oh... they're umm interesting". I almost smacked him right then and there! Interesting?! GRRRRRRR!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I think I know what he was getting at cause there really not something I would ordinarilly wear. They even have bows on them lol. They're cute, I really need to post a pic so you can understand what it is I'm trying to tell you.

So I got home last night and the phone rang... It was our minister. He's known my family ever since I was a little girl. I was so happy that he was goign to be doign our wedding. It really ties in my family members that I have lost and keeps them with me as he has done numerous funerals for us and such.
I'm not a very religeous person so this really made it easy for me because I don't want religon to really play into our wedding.
But I got the call. He was so sweet. He's a little Welsh man that I can only compare to the lucky charms leprochaun to eb honest. So warm and loving. His sister back in Wales has developed Altzheimers and there is knowone to take care of her so they have sold there house in Toronto and have bougth a new one back in Wales (I think you know where this is going). He called to say that he must leave to go home right away and he was so upset. He obviously will be unable to do our wedding. I kept the water works back while he was on the phone. I can completly 100% understand why he can't do the wedding I'm just disapointed. He has refered us to another rev. though. I spoke with him last night and Kevin and I go to meet him on Monday. He too sounds very sweet and is also Welsh lol.
Kevin can't understand why I'm so upet about this. He says "So we'll get another one!" But that's not the point. I'll get over it but still it's just a disapointment.
The new minister sounds incredably sweet however it's just not Rev.Davies :(

Well Kevin is up and down. No comparission by any means to how he was when it all first started but there are moments especially the last couple of days his blood levels have been a MESS!!!!!!! I'm hoping he just has some bacteria in his system and it'll even itself back out again. But he's doing much better!!!! Talk about a scary time in our lives eh?! So Kevin and 2 of his men and one of my BM and myself all headed out yesterday to goa nd fidn tux's for the guys. We found them and they look SWEEEEEET!!!!!!
There a 4 and 3 button black tux's with only the top collar. Kevin is wearing the 4 button with a black vest and a shiney white tie. The other guys are wearing a 3 button black vest with a pink tie. There going to look stunning!!!! They were actually $400!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! BUT we didn't pay that!!! Kevin actually got his for free! The guys had to pay $175.
I was really impressed and even more impressed on how hot Kev looks lol.
There wasn't much to take pics of so I just didn't. When they go at the end of August I'll go picture happy forsure!

Last night Kevin and I went and met with the new minister for our wedding. He was such a wonderful little Welsh man!!!
I did however learn how I would be feeling on the day of the wedding lol. As soon as he looked at me and started to explain things that would be happending and Kevin was sitting next to me staring at me while the minister spoke I swear my hands went sweaty, i couldn't stop smiling, and if it had gone on for much longer I would have started to cry!!! Oh man this is a sign of things to come that day!!!
He is so open to whatever we want to do. With a new minister I really wasn't sure how he wanted to do things. Meaning if he belived religeon shoudl play a big role or not. We are not a religeous couple. Kevin went o church for a little while when he was a little boy and I belive I attended Sunday school for maybe a month. and the last thing I wanted to do was becoem a hypocrite on our wedding day.
He also explained abotu nerves on the wedding day and I told him that I was planning to take a very small shot of tequilla before I walked down the aisle. After I said that I thought "oops should I have said that? did I open Pandora's box?" But he laughed and explained that he's bring it to me if the need be! Just a sweetheart of a minister.
So once we got home and got organized I called ou previous minister who leaves to go back to Wales this week and thanked him for a wonderful referal. Maybe all things happen for a reason?! Psssssssss... the added bonus... This minister is $200 cheaper!!!!!!!!!!!

So I'm going to my venue this afternoon to finalize all the preps. Wow, it seems like yesterday I was there and the guy in charge at the hall was telling me "you have a ton of time still". Now it's like ok we need to finish this up!
I will also be meeting with my wedding planner for the first time today. I've ropped in my MOH into meeting us there as I don't wanna have to go alone and Kev can't get the time off of work.
And to top it off I have a NASTY sinus infection. I literally feel like death!
I'm thinking I'm going to need to make a list of all the stuff I need from the hall. I need to know about the chairs. My coworkers family who is doing my covers needs to know the sizes. I want all the measurments of the rooms, i need to know wht I'll be able to get from them as far as room accessories (ex: mirrors for the tables) and I also REALLY need to know about the sound system for the ceremony. I have a lot to talk about!

I finally got around to taking some pics of my shoes. There not the greatest oics and I made the mistake of putting baby powder in my shoes and it made the insoels all change colur with my foot prints. Oh well who's gonna see inside my shoes anyways right?
They cost me $29.99which I thought was great considering I talked to some of my friends who have gotten married and they spend hundreds on theirs. My BM's even got great deals. One BM got a pair of brand name "steleto's" for $10 cause they ha da run in the heel, 2 of my BM's got theirs in the states for $8 on clearence, and my last BM spend $79.99 cause she'a VERY picky 18 year old!!!!! Whatever floats your boat I guess!

I have a thin with heels. I was a uniform girl when I was in high school and I'm not sure how I wore the heels I did! There is no way anymore that I can wear the 8 inch heel spice girl shoes I once wore. So these suckers are nothing! lol
I really didn't like these shoes at first. I felt like I was dressing up as a suductive little bo-peep for Halloween in them. So I left the store in search for something else. I went into a few different stores but I found nothing dressy enough, dainty enough or just "bridal" cause I REALLY didn't wanna have to do sandles. I know the way I get blisters and for me sandles would be the worst ever decision for swollen, hot feet on my wedding day. It would be Blisters-R-us!!!
I really like them now. I guess they grew on me. Plus I keep telling myself that they're not the "main focus" of my outfit. realistically maybe 3% of the guests if that will see them. Not to mention the flip flops that will be thrown on once the reception gets underway after dinner!! I LOVE FLIP FLOPS!!!!

Let me first off apologize for not being on more, but the wedding is really taking it's toll on filling up my calendar book nicely! This week alone we have to pick up the BM dresses (hopefully. See a whole other thread for that drama!), Making and sending invites, Jack and Jill on Friday night, and My shower on Sunday. So that really doesn't leave much time for me to shmooze with anybody aside from my BP.
All the plans are going great though. Kevin and I are having the Jack and Jill at a local patio bar and we have a TON of people coming. Deffinetly over 50 possibly more. Our tickets are $20 a piece and we get $10 out of every tick and the bar gets the other half. So we're really hoping for this to help us out with our wedding "funding" lol.
My shower is quickly approaching and I still haven't bought a dress! EEEEEEEEK!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I think I may be going to the mall tonight with my MOH for a search and destroy mission.

I had mentioned this to my aunt a while ago that I wanted this, never thinking I would actually get it, seeing that's it's ont he expensive side. But I got it yesterday and I was so happy! I'm thinking about bringing it to the wedding and having it near the registry at the begining of the night and then taking it away for safety reasons.
I even got to open up some tastful lingerie (still lingerie) in front of my inlaws. My sil and my moh both came. It was really nice having them on MY TURF! Never happend before but man did it ever feel good!!!
Unfortunatly my wishy washy BM text messaged me as I was about to arrive at the shower to say she wasn't coming. She said "she couldn't get out of bed". btw the shower was at 3pm!!! Whatever really I don't have the time to get all cranky. Although she is suppose to be doing my response cards and she is already 4 days late getting them to me! That's another story in itself.
Our weekend was awesome and I really coudn't have expected any better.

So our dresses are FINALLY IN!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! There only like 3 months late but they're in!!!
Unfortunatly my bridesmaids aren't as over joyed as I am. They're kind of in suprise that they're "pink" well no s*** sherlock!!!! Is this some sort of a news flash? The colours have always been pink lol. But the way I see it they are BEAUTIFUL dresses!!!! I'm so happy about them and if they wanna complain let them, because I could have made them wear something A LOT worse!!!

A jack and jill is a liek a stag and doe. A shower for both. For our family and most people I know it's a way to get some money for the wedding. You can have raffles, 50/50 draws and so on. In the long run people know that they are there to support the bride and grrom, and it becoems one massive party. They even auctioned off a pie to be thrown in my face! Kevin got one thrown too. My pie went for $100 to my MOH and a BM. Nice eh? lol Kevin's went for $60 to my Grandmother. She creamed him man too funny! Look in the pics section, I have posted a pic of the after math of the pie!

Well I know for Kevin's pie my Grandmother out bid EVERYONE that made an attempt to bid she was itching to throw somethign at him lol. They have such an awesome relationship. They go out of their way to bug eachother and it's all in the name of fun lol.
And for me, my bridal party just got in there under the gun and it was a toss up all night who was going to throw it. And believe me they creamed me just good! literally lol.

So Kev and I just dropped out money at a Jewellery store here in toronto and we've ordered our wedding rings!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I'm so excited that I have perma grin lol. They're really beautiful and I couldn' be happier. The only thing left is to decide what we're goign to engrave on them. I don't have pictures but we have a guarantee that they will be redy for pick up on or before Aug.12th.

So as things get closer my tiem available to do anything including come on here and talk with you ladies has really been slashed. So When I get a chance in the mornign before work I hop on here to chit chat with you guys.
Here's where things stand as of now...
The invites are ALL out!!!!!!!!!!!! The response cards are starting to pour in and how funny that it's ONLY my side of the family that is responding. I've already told Kevin that he needs to speak with his parents that if his family plans to attend the wedding they neeeeeeeeeeeeed to send back the response cards. I didn't stick a stamp on the envelope for decoration people!!!
But the happy part in all of this is all the phone calls I've had with compliments on the invites They were A LOT of work!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! But apparently well worth it. Those invites as a whole have been a pain, witht he respinse card issues and so on.
I start shooting for the tV show this Sunday and I met with them the other day. I sign my final contract with the DJ tonight. Things are going well and I couldn't be happier to tell you the truth.
I'm exhausted, stressed, but things are moving forward. And with all this stress I'm loosing mad amounts of weight!

OK so it's official, we're giving favours of jam for the wedding. Yesterday my Aunt, my Grandmother, Kevina nd myself all slaved over a VERY hot stove, in a very hot room to make strawberry jam for 8 hours! I NEVER want to eat it again!!! Even the smell of it makes me a little repulsed to tell you the truth lol.
We have 150 mini jam jars, and a good dozen big jars filled with jam. Not to mention the 5 batches my Grandmother will be makign today. And we don't need all this jam!!!!!!!!!!!
My Grandmother is making beautiful little pink sheer bags to place the jam in, and we'll be making circular labels for the top of it.
It's A LOT of work, but I think they'll be beautiful favours when they're all done! Once the bags get done and I get a label finished I'll be able to post more pics.

Thank you so much for asking. We're not out of the woods yet and probably won't be for a couple of years. We still monitor him like crazy. He's a lot better but he still has pretty rough days, but we take them one day at a time. But his memory has greatly improved. Again there are sometimes that we need to go over things a little more but nothing compared to February for sure! Thank you so much for your thoughts and prayers!!!! It's been a really rough year but in the end I'm going to end up with the best husband I could ever ask for!

The show is going super well!!! Everyone in the production team has been so nice and accomidating!!! They use our schedule and move around that. We don't have to worry about missing a work day or anything!!!

Last weekend was much needed... We went camping with 2 of our very close friends. Wildernes camping. Oh ya and did I mention I BROKE MY FOOT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! yes i'm serious!!! I may be casted for the weding. I can't believe this! I'll explain it all in another thread. However I will have pics to post on that and MANY other things when I get home. I have the house to myself for 2 days so I can putter and catch up on here.

No surgery. I have a soft cast on it now, the dr's want a hard cast but I said "I love my shoes NO WAY are you taking that away from me!!!" I'm being good and stayiong off of it though. I'm so sick of crutches already, but on the plus side my arms are looking GREAT!!! And one of my concerns for the weding was my arms not being so fit. I guess I took care of that right? lol

So I called in sick today (I'mr eally not feeling great I swear) so I have little bit of time to finally load some pics from our camping excurion that we took with some of our friends to get away for a bit before the wedding.
It was magnificent!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! 2 hours north east of toronto, private, beautiful and very very very cheap!!!!!!!!!!!! If any of you Ontario girls liek to camp pm me and I can give you more details ont his place!

It was so quiet that we had 11 dear at one time on our site the Saturday night. It was something I've enver experienced before...

So I'm stoked! Fully fully fully stoked! I just got a cal from the girl I work with and her family does wedding related decor and dresses and basically you name it when it coems to weddings. I hobbled over to her brother's showroom the other day to look at chaircovers and backdrops. I was initally going to make my own backdrop but it needs to be way big so I just walked away from that project.
I went in there and everything was BEAUTIFUL!!!!!!!!!!!!! I didn't see ever being able to afford any of it so I just said I would love the nice stuff but it's out of my budget. He told me that he would come up for a style for me and tell his sister the price ina few days.
So she called me just not to tell me the price...
130 chair covers, a MASSIVE backdrop with all teh twinkle lights and so on. The price... drum roll please.... $300!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! That's it $300!!!!!!! From the prices I saw in the book I was looking at a minimum of $800 and I was planning to cut it from something else to be able to afford it.
I'm so happy, you really have no idea!
We're going to use all diamond white with accents of light pink and fushia. This really is another load off of my shoulders. One step closer Yeeeeeeeee Haaaaaaaaaaaa!!!!!!!!

The probel is that it will feel great and I will forget about the break, step on it and OUCH! But I'm getting around. I'm a stubourn mule and I refuse to let a broken foot get in the way of me getting done what I need done!
The worst is I will sit down and go to do something and realize I forgot something and have to get all the way back up again and hobble around.

OMG ladies this is serious... I have less then a freaking month till my wedding!!! Where did all the time go? I came on here when I was 16 months to go and now it's less thena month?!?!?!?!?! It just blows my mind.
Things are coming together. But it's all those little loose threads that are really getting in the way.
My BP finally went psycho on my part time BM lol. They finally just snapped on her for not being there and for her "no show" attitude. So i'm actually relieved over this. It was due time somebody said something. If it helps is another story!
Kevin has started a post note countdown at work lol. That suprised me! And when I got my day planner way back in January I started a day countdown for the final month and it has begun!
I went for my final fitting yesterday. I've lost soooooooo much weight due to stress that I have to have a ton of padding inserted and they need to take stuff in a ton. But I did get my dress bustled and I'm reallly happy with the outcome. There will be pics as soon as I get my camera back.

OMG Finally a second to pop on here and say hello to all my ladies! I never realized how much time all of this planning, and organizing takes. Throw in a reality show and I literally have NO FREE TIME at all!
So let me just make a quick couple of notes... We booked our honeymoon!!!!!!!! I'm so excited! We're going to Varadero Cuba on Sept. 16th. Our flight doesn't leave till 5:46pm so we have the morning to do nothing after the wedding! And we come home the following Sunday.
I've finished my programs, place cards and tab;e names. Yes I finally picked all my table names.
I'm taking in everything to be engraved this week and I'll be able to show a ton of pics of it all.
We have a new cake lady. $200 for a 3 tier butter cream. I couldn't afford the fondant route.
My videography issues have been taken care of. We're having a student of my aunts tape it all and throughout the student year it will be edited. It'll cost me at the most $200. Again SWEEEEEEEET!
Things are coming together but still so much to do. And so over stressed!
