I think I am going to look into gown preservation. I have a coupon from David's Bridal since I bought my dress from there.

What do I intend to do or what has been done? LOL
I intend to have it cleaned and preserved, but 3 months after the wedding it continues to sit in it's garment bag untouched. :sigh: I always mean to take it in, I either forget or don't feel like lugging the monstrosity at the moment.

Mine is currently hanging in the closet, but I plan on having it preserved after I wear it for a religious event that my husbands' family is having this October.

Mine at the moment is hanging in the bag in the closet. I will get it perserved one day when I have the money. My sisters MIL got hers pserserved for her for a christmas gift last year. They just celebrated their 6th annversary Sept. 2nd. I am not worried about rushing as the part that is dirty wont be seen any way lol.

Mine was not your typical wedding dress. It was just a nice dress. I still wear it to church on sundays and for the occassional dressy outing. I planned it this way.

I kind of want to keep it, I kind of want to sell it. My Mom thinks I ought to dye it so that I can wear it again... I don't know.
Carlo heard that I was going to sell it and FLIPPED! :winktongue:

I think i will have it cleaned and preserved (or whatever i need to do) so i can save it for my daughter or grand daughter. If my daughter doesen't want to wear it for her wedding i may have a christening gown made for my grandchildren to wear. That way it can be enjoyed again and be passed down in the family. :grinhappy:

I would like to donate because what good is it if you have it packed away and never see it. At least someone less fortunate could have it. On the other hand I dont know if I could part with it and it would be nice to pass down. :notsure:

I haven't thought too much about it yet. I'm thinking about having it made into a quilt. Or, I could donate it. I'm just not sure yet.

My mother is going to give me her dress maker's dummy. I plan to display it in a guest bedroom someday. I also plan to wear it again whenever the occasion permits - I hate it that I only got to wear it for 5 hours or so.

Just don't hang it with a plastic bag overtop. Better to make a fabric bag out of an old sheet.

I was going to have it preserved, but now I really do not know for sure what I am going to do.

I like the tradition behind saving the dress for another family member, my grandmothers dress was passed down to her from her great great grandmother and now its in a museum, My grandmother died six years ago and whe was 90 so I have no clue exactly how old the dress was but its kinda amazing to me.

I don't know what I'm doing with mine yet. I wouldn't mind selling it. I don't see the point of keeping it around. Styles tend to change so fast. Steve wants me to keep it in case we have a daughter. He wants her to have the option of wearing. So I will most likely end up keeping it, although I wouldn't mind the extra cash from selling it....lol

And, one day, if I have a girl, maybe she would like to use it...
