I don't even know where to begin. I cant even choose my colors. I keep thinking I need to choose a bouquet and then decide on my colors. Does anyone know of a good wedding bouquet site or a site that actually shows wedding schemes and colors? Please help or offer ideas.

I am sure their are lots of websites out there that can help with this but I don't think we are suppose to post other planning sites on the board. Try doing a Google or Yahoo search for wedding flowers and see what you come up with.
If your wedding is August (this month?!) you better get on it girl  Just think of simple flowers you like. Roses, daisies, etc ... these come in loads of colors and are easy to get. August is a month where most any color will work. You could use bright summer colors or some neutral fall sort of colors, it is your day, there is really no rule for colors. What colors do you like? Finding the color scheme is just really finding 2 or 3 colors that complement each other.
Good Luck!

Once you pick your dress, the rest should compliment that. That's why I'm having trouble, is because my dress is being made for me, and I don't know what the final design is yet.
I found organicbouquets.com to have a beautiful selection of flowers that you can sort of get an idea of. They don't do wedding flowers, but you can get an idea of what you like. Another idea is to find a flower market. My FH's cousin had his wedding, and his wife got all of the flowers affordably from local farmers.
Good luck!

Check out www.*******.com and www.weddingchannel.com They both ohave nice decor and floral sections. Also, you can pick up bridal magazines. One thing Sean and I did was spend a Saturday afternoon at Barnes and Noble, Borders, and Jospeh Beth. Easch store has great wedding sections with books on flowers, decor, fashion, DIY, ect. Just sit back with a nice cup of coffee and flip through books. We also really got to see what the other person likes. I had no idea that Sean HATED calla lilies. Remember to take a notebook and pen with you. I forgot and it is highway robbery to by a notebook and pen at Barnes and Noble.

Okay this is speaking from experience here! I didn't want to deal with flowers, did not want to pick out flowers or have a bouquet. The thought of it made me panic! (Don't know why, just that's what happened.)
So here's what to do:
Go pick your dress. Once you have that let things fall into place.
Take a picture of your dress with you in it (even if it doesn't fit!)
Ask yourself: What's my favorite colour? DON'T GO WITH WHAT OTHERS WANT YOU TO HAVE!!!! That's very very important.
Pick your bridesmaids dresses
Take a picture of their dresses.
Now book an appointment with the florist of your choice, ask for a consulatation meeting and tell them you don't know what you want for bouquet arrangements and flowers. They are professionals, this is their job and they will have pictures to show you and some will even mock up a bouquet so you have an idea. Show them the pictures of your dress and your bridesmaids dresses. This will give their creative minds something to work with. :)
I also researched bouquet ideas on the web. Check out www.firstclassflowers.ca ..... lots of unique ideas

No problemo, dude! It's an exciting yet stressful time, and I agree with the idea of getting everything decided and booked WELL in advance. I've been planning mine for 2 years, though only in the last month or so have I been actually doing the serious stuff. It's intense for sure!
Good luck, and keep us posted on your plans!

Thanks. Good luck to you to. I am going to look for a dress on Friday. I am so excited. It will be the first step I'm taking in the whole big process. I can't wait.

One more thing. I just noticed that my ticker is posted as a URL. How do I get the actual ticker on my posts?

Normally it will have a code for bbc. Paste that into your signature instead of the url. I got mine at daisypath.com
If you need anything else, don't hesitate to ask!

Well linzy_rose, I am glad it was not this Aug
It is always good (and fun) to start getting ideas and looking around for stuff early. I have always said that the sooner you start planning the better off you will be in the end but, don't stress just yet, you have plenty of time, nearly 2 years!
Take it easy and have fun with it. I wouldn't book things too far in advance. Do some 'window shopping' and get all your thoughts and ideas together and make a plan.
Start a wedding notebook and/or spreadsheet. Then start booking and buying things about 9-12 months before the big day. Many vendors, at least out here where I live, won't book anything more than a year in advance anyway.
It does take some effort and can be stressful but only it you let it consume you. In my opinion, a year is more than enough time to get it all done.
I did a pole last year of past brides and asked them what they would do differently if they had it to do over again ... 75% of brides said they would not have spend so much time planning and stressing out over stuff.
Best of luck to you!

Thank-you web lady. I have a notebook started and am getting addresses together to get an approximation of how many guests will be at the reception so I can get an idea for catering costs and hall sizes. I'm not in a big hurry for things like that yet since I do have 2 years to plan. I just don't want to get behind. Right around the time for the wedding I will be getting closer to being done with school. I just don't want the stresses of school and the wedding to take over and that's why I am excited to be organized and ready to get the wedding tasks done early. Thanks for the advice-every bit helps from you girls.

You are right to get the guest list straightened out first ... the biggest expense is usually the food and the location.
If school and the wedding plans get too much for you, try to get friends and family to help and maybe look into hiring a planner/coordinator to help as it gets closer. Sometimes a planner can actually save you money, you just have to find the right one  But you have the advantage of time on your side.
Best of luck,

I see this post is a few weeks old but I was wondering if you got your bridesmaid dresses yet? Post a pic if you did. I would love to see it.

No, I haven't gotten bridesmaids dresses yet because I'm still on the whole flower kick. My friend has pictures of her sisters wedding that she is going to send to me because I remember seeing pictures and loving her bouquet, so I guess once I get those pictures, it will narrow my search for the colors of the dresses and the whole wedding. I have a while though, so I'm not too worried.
