I have never been involved in a wedding before so everything is new to me. When trying to think of colors I was told to go for my favorite colors, which are purple, pink, blue and silver....but I have NO clue how to work any of those together! Does anyone have any ideas, or maybe some suggustions for Magazines that would be of help?

when i started planning my wedding i was told the fewer the colours the better. the reason this was said was that a friend went to a wedding where the bride had a few "favourite" colours incorporated and the wedding pictures came out looking rather "circusy". the bride regretted it the choice after the fact, but it was done.
i think if you do want to incorporate all the colours, do that in your bouquet with different types of flowers with different colours.
have either blue, purple or pink as your main colour and silver as your accent....keep it kind of fun and you can bring in other colours.
my colours are red black and silver, the groomsmen are wearing black with red ties, it's really simple, for the reception black is becoming a dominant colour there with red accents everywhere to keep it from becoming sooo dark.
have fun, play with ideas, don't limit yourself.
find the colour combination YOU LIKE! don't cater to anyone's whims, this is a decision you get to make and your FH should he want to be involved.

I agree with the previous post, use the bulk of the colors for the flowers.
Choose ONE color for your main color, silver for the accent and everything should be great.
I chose Platinum for my main color becuase it is neutral, but... I didn't want everything bland, so I am using a variety of shades of pink for the bouquet and decor.

I agree with the other posters. Use the colors in the bouquets and keep the rest simple. I'm starting off as a wedding newbie here too, and I'm having my own issues with the colors, but I'm trying my best to keep it simple.
