View Full Version : Please help me with a timeline for a 2pm wedding
The ceremony starts at 2.
Me and my bridesmaids (6) were planning on getting ready (hair, makeup, get dressed) at my fiance's parents house (2 miles from church). The church is not available to us until 1pm. We are not having a full mass, so the ceremony will not be a full hour. Can anyone suggest a timeline? The reception starts at 4. Help!

my wedding is at 2 as well. I have about 7/8 people getting their hair done before the wedding AND makeup. We are starting at 8 am for everything. My dinner reception isn't until 6 so that we have enough time for pictures and everything in between.

I'll just tell you how we did everything and what kind of time line we ran....maybe that will give you some idea as to how to work things.
Our wedding was scheduled at 12:00 noon so we started hair and make up at 8:00 am. By the time we were finished we had about a half hour at home to get dresses and ready for the wedding. We were about ten or fifteen minutes late for the ceremony to start but we were basically on time. Give yourself a few extra minutes here to get yourselves organized and have bouqets distributed and corsages/bootineres (no idea how to spell...lol) on. Our ceremony was done by 12:30 and then the recieving line took about 45 minutes. We started on pictures there after and took all afternoon for photos. The reception started at 6:15 pm and we were barely on time for that too...lol. Give yourselves lots of time for pictures!! Thats my biggest piece of advice. Our photographer told us that we allowed for a lot of time and didn't cause us to rush which is good because then it doesn't show in the photos! (Which turned out beautifully!!) Allow for time, thats the biggest thing and don't get in a rush. Other wise you might not take the time to enjoy the day and have fun with it! Hope that helps and best of luck!
