Does anyone have a favorite holiday movie they enjoy watching? Just curious to see.
My family started a tradition when the movie "Christmas Vacation" came out with Chevy Chase. It just doesn't feel like Christmas if we don't gather together and watch this movie every year. No matter how many times we have seen it we still laugh and enjoy it.

There are so many good ones, I love Christmas Vacation, too along with A Christmas Story and Elf. There are probably a ton I am forgetting about!

I like (don't laugh) Alivin and the Chipmonks Christmas movie. It is the best. I also like Rudolph (the old one). I like the old Christmas cartoons the best. I also like the Disney one where Mickey Mouse is in the a version of Dickens A Christmas Carol.

I don't really have any favorites really, there isn't anything that I just have to watch I mean.
I've seen 'National Lampoon's Christmas Vacation' and 'A Christmas Story' many many times through the years. DH's mom use to watch A Christmas Story and the Charlie Brown Christmas special, those were her favorites. So we'd watch with her when we were there. 'A Christmas Story' often makes me think of her because she liked it so much.

OK I am most likely going to name one no one knows. Not many people do but I grew up watching this every year and believe it or not so did my husband. It is " Emmet Otter's Jug-Band Christmas " It is a Jim Henson video, narrated by Kermet the Frog.
Emmet Otter and his Ma are dirt-poor, but very happy and good singers. But as Christmas is around the corner, both of them want to get something special for each other. And the talent show prize is $50! So, Ma gets a song ready, and Emmet forms a jug-band with his friends. But the Riverbottom Gang, a bunch of rich kids with killer electric band equipment are going to be tough competition.

I have seen it. (It must be a New England/ West Virginia thing). Not only that, but other people must have been impressed by it too, the otters were on a special display at the Smithsonian in July when I was there.

Ok, so for traditional movies, It's a Wonderful Life. The ultimate sappy, feel good, Jimmy Stewart movie. You gotta love it.
For newer movies, I watch Love, Actually. Sean and I saw it at Christmastime a few years ago when it came out. Ever since that year, I have watched it while I wrapped all of my Christmas gifts. It is so dry and witty that you have to love it!

I love the old clay cartoons of Rudolph, and Frost the Snowman, and the one about how Kris Kringle became Santa. I also LOVE the cartoon The Grinch Who Stole Christmas. I have to watch all of them every year or it's just not the same!

I love all the old Christmas movies as well: The old Rudolph's and Chris Kringle, The Abominable Snowman Scrooge, etc... What I REALLY LOVE is the play: O Henry's The Gift of the Magi! I don 't know if they ever made a movie of it though.

It must be Lacey, Nicholas is from WV and I am a born and bread New Englander. There are not many people I talk to know this movie. I say the name of the movie and their reaction is "WHAT DID YOU JUST SAY "?

A couple to add. I loved Scrooged with Bill Murray, and Christmas Vacation with Chevy Chase. I liked Love Actually that someone mentioned. Oh, and Miracle on 34th St.
