I'm planning to DIY most of my wedding stuff: save the dates, invites, menu's, pretty much if it has words I'm gonna do it!
Have any of you used any of the wedding or print software? I've seen adds for this on the net and what not and wanted to know if it's a waste of money or it might be a good purchase?

I have never used any special wedding software. But when I done our invitations myself I used a program I have on the computer called Greeting Card Factory Express. They turned out very nice and I was proud of them.

I am using some of the Adobe software, like photoshop and Illustrator, but those can be cashy if you are wanting to buy them just for the wedding programs. I know that you can buy some really decent layout software at places like BestBuy for not too much money. Have you looked around at some of the different software there is out there??

I am strill half tempted to spend the extra cash and buy soemthing half decent as I will use it again in the future.
Thanks for the info:D

Hi, I've also been wondering about the wedding planner software. I'm not concerned about invitations though. My fiance and I have already got the invitations under control. My main thing is just making sure that I'm organized, don't forget anything and stay on budget.
Would the software actually make a difference or be a waste of money? Should I go with a planner book? Or just figure it out on my own?
Thanks :)

I bought a wedding planning CD rom when we got engaged.

I didn't actually use it to print invitations, but it has been helpful in keeping the guest list organized, creating a seating chart, and a budget, and keeping our appointments and vendors organized.
I'd say it was worth the 40$ I spent on it.
My FMIL also gave me a plastic document organizer (free- she's a teacher) (file folder) and I keep all my contracts in there.
