I just wanted to share with you my engagement story.
We both knew someday we would get married but never discussed when so this came as a complete suprise to me.
My boyfriend told me to take Friday off from work so we could celebrate our 2 year dating anniversary. When friday came along we woke up early and he drove me into Boston to the radisson hotel. I was a little sad because we usually always stay at the Meridien hotel cause that is where we first met and had our first kiss. We went to our room and unpacked our bags. Then we went to the lobby and hailed a taxi. He took me to the park and we walked around. Then as we were walking bye the Copley place mall he told me we should go inside. He then told me that I had till 6 pm to find an outfit for the night. So he took me on a little shopping spree. We went everywhere till i found the perfect cocktail dress, shoes, a bag, and even make-up. I felt like i was in the movie pretty woman.
After our shopping spree was over we went back to the hotel. We grabbed a little something to eat, and then went to the room. Where he just turned on the TV. I was anxious to get dressed and start the evening, but he said that we wouldnt be doing anything till tomorrow.
The next morning we woke up, and Paul was already dressed. Our bags were packed and we checked out of the hotel. He told me we were going home, but instead drove us to the Meridien hotel! I was so surprised. We went inside and to our room and unpacked. Then he brought me to the retsaurant where we were seated for a chocolate bar! It was amazing, everything there was made of chocoalte. Chocolate strawberries, chocolate waffles, cake, soup, everything you can imagine.
After he took me out and for a horse and carriage ride around boston. We went back to the hotel and it was time to get dressed. He somehow packed his suite without me noticing the day before, and i got all dressed up in my new outfit. From there we went to the most elegant and romantic dinner ever. After dinner and some drinks we decided to head back to the room. It was the best anniversary ever!
Once I opened the door, the whole room was decorated in roses and christmas lights, and candles. And on the bed there was a present all wrapped up. He said happy anniversary to me, and said he had one more gift for me and to open it up.
We sat on the bed, and I opend the gift. It was a book. But as i opened it, it was written by him. On every page, there was one line written. It was filled with every memorable moment that we had spent together since we started dating. Our frist trip, our first date, our first movie, our favorite foods, etc. It was amazing. He then told me to skip to the end, and i turned to the end and the last entry read "Will you marry me?".
I looked up and he was on one knee with a ring, repeating the line to me.
It was the most amazing night ever!
