I love the ocean, that's my first choice. Then backyard pool is my second choice. I don't care for all the rest of the options. :grinhappy:

If i am gunna swim its going to be in my mom's backyard pool.
I've swam in the ocean before and it was too rough and kinda scarey.

I have never swam in the ocean. I have not seen the ocean, but would surely love it. so given my choices i chose the lake. We love to go camping at the lakes in arkansas and swimming there is great.

I said bathtub just for fun ;)
I love the ocean but I don't like sharks and/or rough waters so I don't normally like to swim in it.
I've swam in the ocean before and in public pools, but I think I'd prefer to swim in my own private pool.

If I had to go swimming, I would say it would be in a private pool. Lakes, oceans, ect. are just nasty to me. The bacteria in that water is not something I want in any open wounds, my eyes, nose, or mouth. YUCK! Public pools, I just can't do. They are too crowded to just relax. Plus they never seem clean enough. The bathtub, remember the episode of Seinfeld, "The tepid poll of your own filth." Although, I do fill up the bathrub sometimes and let Ellie play in it with her squeeky toys. She loves "swimming" and "catching" things.

I love the ocean, but only get there once in a blue moon. If we or someone we were close to had a pool, that would be the obvious choice. If I swim it's usually in a public pool like at the gym. I don't swim very often b/c to me it's more of a PITA even though it one of the best exercises. The hair care required before and after swimming is very daunting to me.

I prefer a backyard, private pool, but I don't have one... so I usually swim in the public pool. I also like to swim in the ocean from time to time. DH does pools only for the most part.

There are strict regulations on public pools, at least in my area. In fact a couple weeks ago our local news decided to do one of those I-team stories about the public pools. And all they had to say about them was one pool had a ladder that could use some repair and reminded us that if there is no life guard then there must be a sign to that effect and you should be careful, esp. with your kids in that situation. They also said that there are regular inspections regarding the water quality and the pool can get shut down if the water tests out to be unsafe. There are hundreds of public pools in the area in which they were reporting. It was one of those stories where they get you all hyped up with the advertising and then have nothing of value to report.
