The only celebrity I have actually met and shook hands with was Robert Redford. They wanted extras in the movie, "The Candidate", back in the 70's, in California. I didn't make it in the movie; but, my boyfriend at the time, did. :D

No, I have never met a celebrity. The closest I have gotten was to George Bush. He is the president and not a celebrity though. I had the priveledge of being in the audience and listen to one of his speeches at a FFA convention when he was the governor of Texas.

when i was 14 i got to meet and talk for a long time with ted nugent. at the time however i didn't realize who he was. i listened to him a lot but had never really looked at him. so i was really myself. he invited me to come backstage and watch him perform that night. that is when i realized who he was. course my mom wouldn't let me go. darn it.
i have also met a lot of nascar drivers. mark martin (and he kissed me to), jack roush (owner of roush racing), matt kennseth, casey mears, rusty wallace, and some more that i have forgotten right now. shame on me.

I have never actually met anyone famous, I've had sightings though. I saw Jerry Springer at the airport once, I saw Emanuel Lewis (played Webster back in the day) in line at the movie theater years ago. Well I did meet some of the Jacksonville Jaguars at the shoe store I use to work at, I was helping open a new store in Jacksonville and they were there for the event.

About 10 years ago I met Bryant Gumble in Tahoe. He was there for a Celeb Tourny. I also say Michael Jorday playing poker.
That same w/end, I almost partied w James Kahn and Patrick Swayze. A friend on mine did PR for Planet Hollywood there, and was out w them. I showed up just as they were about to leave. She came to get me at the bar, but were gone when we got to the table.

Several years ago my friend and I met Out of Eden after their show. We have a pic with them. On June 14 this year, I saw Poison for the third time in the front row. At the end (before the encore), Rikki Rockett had a few drumsticks to throw out. When he had his last one, he looked right at me, walked around Bret's mike stand, and threw it right at me and it had a backstage pass on it! So I got backstage and only got to meet him. He has got to be one of the sweetest guys ever, he was so nice. His friend and co-founder of Chop Shop Drums took our pic for me. 3 front row Poison shows and finally got backstage! It was just so cool to meet, not only the drummer of Poison, but he is also the producer and now manager of a great local band, Gibbs Brothers, who I love! They are gonna make it big and its just so awesome to have been around since the start. Sry this is long, but ya got me started! lol. I had a white spag strap shirt under the Poison one, and Rikki signed it for me.
In 2001 when our high school chorus went to Disney World to perform, we were in this one place (don't remember which building) and we saw Geena Lee Nolon (sp?) from Baywatch. She was in the makeup chair for "Sheena".

I have met LL Cool J and Mary J blige, they both came to my High School and performed adn I got a chance to shake hands and all that. I also met Bizzie Bone form the rap group Bone-Thugz-and-Harmony. I was in Windser partying one night and he was performing a solo show at one of the clubs. My ex-fiance was a major fan and me and my girls noticed that he was waiting outside in a limo. I somehow convinced the cops to talk to one of the bodyguards, who convinced Bizzie Bone to let me in the limo, where he autographed the little flyer for his show for me. It was kinda awesome...even if I am not into the rap scene!!! I think that that is it for meeting celebs!!!

I can say I got to speak to and shake the hands of the guys from the band Fire House. There was an 80's rock fest a few years back here where I just went to see Montgomery Gentry. There were 4 80's rock bands and after Fire House performed they were in the booth where their t-shirts were being sold and I got to go over and see them. I was the last one to get in line. They almost didnt let me but my (husband at the time ) was in line and so they let me go up there with him.
Also as a child I got to meet my moms favotire guy country band The Oak Ridge Boys ( yeah for me lol )
Now if you akse dmy husband , he has met alot of country singers and race car drivers. They used to all stay at the hotel next to the place he worked at in WV. He even got to hang out with the guys from Lone Star. ( yeah he's a lucky little brat ) And he met a few people that are famous that used to come into the restraunt to eat.

Well when I was in HIgh school they filmed a movie at our school. I didn't get to meet Michael Ironside but I got to be REALLY close to him. I also didn't get to be in the movie but that's cool too! lol. There were a few other celebs there at our school but I didn't see them. And how cool is it to have a movie filmed at your school man!! lol. :penguin:
My ex boyfriend grew up with the guys who are Nickelback. In Hanna, Alberta Canada. I thought that was pretty cool but now I think they wasted their brush with fame on my low life ex!! lol :parp:

When I was in college, Alan Alda came to do a speech. The reason was that he's been chosen to tell who his most inspirational teacher was growing up, and he chose one of the professors at my school. He came then to give the professor an award, and I was sitting only 4 seats away from him at the speech. I got tickets to go because I worked in an office that got them... Anyway, after the speech, I got to meet him. Nothing long, just a handshake and a hello, but it was cool nonetheless.:hammy:

Actually all 5 bands were part of an "80s Invasion Tour", so I saw them all in one night, front row.

Back in 1997-98, I went skiing in Colorado with a group of friends over Christmas break. We hit several ski areas that 10 days, but on New Year's Eve, we happened to be in Vail. My friend Adam and I were coming off a lift and standing in a group of people was Kevin Costner. We weren't going to get involved in the crowd, but we stopped at the little lodge to get a drink and he came up to the bar when we were standing there. We were like,"Hey, how're you doing?" and he was like,"Great, you guys?" We introduced ourselves and he introduced himself as Kevin and shook our hands. We talked about the snow and then he headed over to the table his group was at. Pretty nice, but he was shorter than I thought he'd be!
That was the same year Sonny Bono and Michael Kennedy were killed in ski accidents. Weird. I thought the whole thing was cool, but casual. When I got home and was telling my dad and stepmom about meeting Kevin Costner, I thought my stepmom was going to wet herself!
I also met Jimmy Buffett at a concert a few years ago. That was pretty cool.

When I was a teenager I was at a bar here in Toronto and at the end of the night i had to have one of the bouncers drive me home. I had to wait till closing for him to take me so I just hung out after my friends left. He took me into the back room and Lars (drum player from Metallica was there.) I'ma huge Metallica fan so i was in awwwwwww.
It turned out to be a great convo and he and the bouncer ended up driving me home. I couldn't think of what to say so the only thing that could come out of my mouth was "would you like to come in for a coffee?", not can i have an autograph or tickets or whatever. I felt so stupid.
Because I was the only one there none of my friends believed me till the next week when we went back. Still to this day most of them don't.
