I have a question.

Did most of you pick out your wedding rings yourself? Or did you take your Fiance with you? Don't couples usually do this together?

I still haven't picked out any sort of ring and we leave in less than a month. Ugh.

Nope, DH picked out my e-ring, but had a guideline of what I wanted. I did pick out my wedding band however.

My E-ring was my grandmothers so there wasn't any picking out there. Mark asked my mom for it after she offered it up a year before. My wedding band had to be custom made to fit my e-ring. Mark and i went together to have that done. We also went together to pick out his ring.

My husband picked out both rings. The engagement ring and my wedding ring. Both were a surprise. But he had an idea of my likes and dislikes on them.

I told Sean ideas of what I wanted for an engagement ring. So it was a surprise but it wasn't, if that makes sense. For our wedding rings, we went together and picked them out. I picked out mine, he picked out his.

Joe picked my engagement ring. We picked our own wedding bands. I looked online with him, but he didn't see mine until it was delivered.

Ok, so it's not weird that I'm picking out my wedding band by myself. Somehow I had the idea that this was something we were supposed to go and do together.

Do what is best for the two of you. There aren't any rules in this dept.

We picked our wedding bands out together, but that is what was best for us.

J surprised me w my e-ring. We are picking out our wedding day rings together. But we are doing it diff than most. Since it's costing more than anticipated for the wedding, we are buying less expensive rings (but still nice) for the wedding, then for our one year anniv. we will buy the rings that we really wanted. At that point, I will add the third band to mine (I want three bands) and will have his wedding day ring resized and wear that one on my right hand. That way it doesn't collect dust, and will still be as meaningfull.

My FH picked them both out all by himself, but he did a wondergul job with the money that we could spend!

We picked out our wedding rings together. They don't match, but we both wanted to find ones that we liked. As for my e-ring.... Manish picked that out by himself. I pretty much knew what to expect, though, because I'd told him I wanted a round stone and in platinum, and I knew that he wanted a solitaire, so..

Since FH's aunt is the jeweler, she let him borrow several rings and let him pick out which one he wanted to use for the proposal. Then after he asked, he said I could pick a different one if I wanted, but I kept this one. My E ring came in a set with the band, and I might let him pick out his band.

The whole ring thing has been very stressful...way more so than picking out a dress. I finally sat down with a friend of mine last night and we poured over pictures of rings looking at the various styles available in my price range. I'm pretty sure I know what I want now. Thank goodness! I was so close to just saying that we should pick out some silver band for me because I was sick of the whole thing.

Jonathan thinks that I must be the strangest woman ever for hating the whole jewelry shopping thing.

I'll post a picture in my journal as soon as we get it. :D

Kevina nd my Mom were in a conspiracy against me about our engagment. I had no idea, but Kevin had gotten my Great Grandmothers ring from my mother and gave that to me when he proposed.
As for our wedding rings I will be wearing my mom's wedding band that has been collecting dust forever, and I get to go and buy Kev one. Kev's going to play with the wedding band to make it more persona;.
Kev gets out pretty much at low cost for it al and here I am having to pay for it all. Nice planning baby!
I'm going to get his ring sized for him but he won't see it till our wedding. It's driving him crazy that I'm keeping so much from hima nd I love it!

I picked out my engagement ring. I was surprised when Hugh let me wear it home because he hadn't actually proposed yet. Little did I know that he had a promise ring (which was supposed to hold the until we could shop for my E ring together) in his pocket the day we bought the E ring. I continued to wear it and I kept asking him if he wanted it back ...... I was totally confused.

When he formally asked me to marry him, he pulled out the promise ring and I was blown away.

We picked out both bands together.

I will go wedding band shopping with my fiance to pick out the bands and we'll buy them together.
Dion picked my engagement ring out on his own though
