I had never heard of this until Danielle brought it up in my toothache thread.
Here is the link she shared there -
http://oilpulling.com/oilpullingmethod.htm
So have any of you ever tried this? Please share your experience :)

I had never heard of it either. I only glanced at the website so I don't really have any valid opinions on it. It kind of sounds like those pads that you are suppose to put on the bottom of your feet and are suppose to pull toxins out throughout the night (and I've heard it isn't true). Like I said thought all I did was glance at the page so it could be very different than that I dk.
I don't think I could stomach it though.

I can understand the theory behind it and think it's probably a valid idea, but I have a really bad gag reflex (sorry Ron ) and I can't keep stuff in my mouth for that long.

From what I understand from what I have read online, for the health benefits other then dental benefits, is that there is a large vein under your tongue, and some toxins in your blood are oil-soliuable and are draw out of the blood with the oil. I guess that's why it turns white.
Not sure how true it all is but i have only read good reviews so I might try it

I've never heard of it....but I have done the foot toxin things before and they were black black black the next morning.
My dad actually did this...for like 3 days. lol! He's bad about following through with things! He didn't say that it was a bad experience or anything, but he didn't do it long enough to see any results if there would have been any. Sooo I dunno!!

Ditto! I tried to look up some of the debunking, and the worst I could find is that one doctor doesn't think it does any detox but couldn't disregard the benefits for oral care.

I haven't looked it up yet. Is there a difference between regular sesame oil and the stuff you should use here?

Sesame oil taste so gross! I'm gonna try it with coconut oil maybe..I think I will start tomorrow :)
I *think* my dad used a mix of (all organic) coconut oil, sesame oil, and olive oil.
