My wedding May 19th 2012

Ok so much has changed since my last journal so I am making a new one and transferring all the information that is still the same over!
Only 5 more months!!!

Date : May 19th, 2012

Time : Night most likely 7ish

Place : Ceremony and reception will be outside at my MIL's house in Oklahoma in the country the house is surrounded by a wheat field and it is beautiful in the end of may when the wheat starts turning!

Colors: Purple hot pink and white (bright colors not pastels or too dark)

My dress!!!!! It’s a replica of Maggie Sottero's Ambrosia, and SaBelle well these dresses are priced at about $1500 way out of my price range so I was given a dress and i was just going to roll with it and add on to that dress and make it look similar and add my own tweaks here and there. Well FH's grandmother was going to help me sew and make the dress into what i wanted it to be so we started doing the mock up and when it came to the bottom she suggested going to try on dresses and we would just see how we wanted it. Well there was a lady putting a dress on a manikin and what do you know it was the exact replica of both dresses combined! (looks more like the SaBelle)i absolutely loved!!!!! So i tried it on, it fit perfect and fell in love! And it came to be only 800 tax and everything I am so excited! Ring Bearer - FHs little cousin Little Evan (to walk with Lexi)

Bible boy- Walt FH's best friend Wade's son

Officiant will be FH's grandpa

.Flowers - diy bouquets mine being a cascade with stargazer lilies, light pink and white roses, and going to add in hot pink and purple flowers, they also have little crystals

Cake - 3 tier cake someone is making for us, she does it out of her home for fun and she’s absolutely amazing!!! This is the inspiration picture, I want it all white with white pearlized pearls and flowers and maybe add some stargazer lillies

Well the lady i wanted to do my cake cant do it because she is due the week after... im thinking about trying to find someone to do the groom cake and settle for a walmart wedding cake lol their cakes are really good it just wont be anything special

ok well good news on the cake front i found 2 women who also do home cakes for fun and they are both available and giving me price quotes later on today!
and i finally decided on the idea for the groom's cake i want the cake to look like the belt buckle my papa (the one who had cancer and died on thanksgiving) well my gma gave him that was my papas... heres a pic

i want the eagle white and the banner orange and the letters black :) Hopefully they can do something like this! Im pretty excited!

Also i spoke with one photographer who happens to be my ex step dad's sister and she is going to give me a quote for the bridal session and wedding and a cd with edited images for both... hopefully its not super expensive but her prices usually are and ive noticed she hasnt been doing that much lately
I also am talking with a girl my age that is just now getting into photography, shes never done a wedding and thats a little scary but i love how she edits and how her pics turn out she has great vision! There is also another option I can take, our town is full of photographers but I just contacted my two favorites first and ill hear from them first!

Good luck finding a cake person and photographer. We had an amazing cake and I had no idea what to expect until I got to the reception and it turned out beautiful.

As for your photographer, we found a cheap one on Craigslist and we had the rights to all of our pictures. It took her forever to edit them and we only got about 400 pictures for seven hours worth of photography. We hardly got any pictures from the reception. If I were to do things over again, I would opt for a better photographer even if it meant paying a little more.

Photography was the #1 most important vendor for us. In fact, we booked our photographer before anything else!! So I totally understand where you are coming from with wanting an excellent photographer. Men usually don't get it.. Until they see it and compare it to others. DH literally was baffled and didn't want hardly anything we had at the wedding when we we're in the process of booking it. He thought it was a waste of money, blah blah blah. However, at the end of the wedding night he said he was glad I pushed so hard for everything we had because he wouldn't have changed a thing. DH said he didn't get the vision at first, or realize how everything chosen really did played a role into making our wedding as wonderful as it was. He now knows not to question me. ROFL!!

I can't wait to see your invites!! Making us wait til tomorrow?!? Ughh!! LOL!! ;);)

I love it! A little too much at the bottom, but not too bad. Take out a few brushes. Maybe more color dimension instead of so many brushes? Also, you need a comma. "celebration of love, family and devotion."

No problem. I slaved over mine and really appreciated opinions! In the end I went with what I thought looked best, but definitely used advice from the other ladies.

So ive been thinking about this a lot lately and im still getting my wedding :)
we are just calling a celebration, and changing some of the other stuff

I bought ribbon and ordered the girls bows for their outfits they are going to wear!! I am going to make this with the same hot pink satin ribbon and purple tulle instead of pink!!! Oh and the bow will be doubled and have a big pearl surrounded by tiny blings like that down there :)Of course mommy girl bowtique is doing it :) Dont know what i would do without Brandi!!!

starting freak out mode!!!! i am so unorganized lol i lost all the addresses which in a way is a good thing because most of those people i no longer talk to but i have to scramble to collect the address i do need! im a mess!

vistaprint is having a 50% off deal so thats pretty cool except the wedding is only 3 weeks and 4 days from today i cant believe i forgot about the wedding, but then again we have had so much family stuff going on...

anyways so im starting this up again and kicking it in high gear :)

i just gathered the money together for the cake deposit so ill give that to her thursday
i finished the design for the invites so ill post that after lunch!! i just have to do a test print here and if it looks good enough ill print there here from work!
still lacking addresses im tempted to hand them out like flyers :rofl:
actually i may be seriously thinking about that, especially since its going to be super laid back and only close familiy and friends :)
oh and im almost done with lexis dress! its adorable if i do say so myself

to do list:
got to steam clean my dress
finalize cake details, give her the deposit thursday
finish lexi's dress start on kams
make (watch tannys gma make lol) my after dress (going to be the twist dress)
go through my many decorations and decide what im actually using
assign food items for family members to bring since we are doing a potluck bbq thing! thinking brisket, ham, chicken, green beans, salad, pink salad (a cool whip dessert thing), mashed potatoes, potato salad, baked beans, crab noodle salad, bread, pin wheels, veggie plate, fruit plate with chocolate fountain.
Tea, lemonade and coffee.
Getting a case of wine and beer. so need to look into that
Talk to the church about getting tables and chairs
Talk to the farmer that is going to let me borrow hay bales for the wedding
Go over with tannys gpa with what he is going to say for the ceremony
Start gathering quilts and white sheets (either putting quilts down then white sheet or white sheet with quilts for comfort on hay bales)

Boo on me for waiting till last minute for all this stuff lol

Already got 15 rsvp from friends by calling and asking for addresses everyone replied with ahhh i now where it is im coming just remind me :)

yepp :) so far everything is coming together nicely!
got lexis dress done and part of kams
got my twist dress done i posted pics to fb so ill load them here later on
i bought all the plates and items like that today
ordered the keg
got the tables chairs and tablecloths today
hay bales are being delivered tomorrow
decorating our makeshift arch friday night or early sat night
meeting the cake lady to get the cake at 1
my mom is doing my hair and also steaming my dress for me!

and ive been working 8 am to about 11 pm everyday so im super exhasted!
all that i have to buy is chocolate for the fountain, some greenery from dollar tree, and some candles!
