We're planning a semi-destination wedding: at fiance's hometown near Syracuse, about 400miles from where we live now. It's going to be a small wedding (50-75 people), so I'm still debating whether or not to hire a planner. I think I would want one just to be in charge for that one day, so I can actually enjoy the day :)
We've interviewed 1 planner so far, and we liked her, but I'd like to talk to more people before we decide. I'm having a hard time finding one in the area.
So...does anybody know of any good wedding coordinators in the Syracuse region?
Thanks!!
Ps. I'm not stressing out...yet!

I can't help you out with finding a planner, but welcome to the board! We will try to help you out any way we can! When is the big day?

Yes, I can't recommend any planners because I don't know that area, but I do think it would be a good idea to have a planner from that area do most of the planning as they might be more apt to know people and be able to find you some good deals. Welcome to the board and good luck.

The wedding is set for July 7th of 2007, apparently one of the most popular dates EVER! :D
Well, we've decided not to hire this wedding planner, because she had another couple wanting to hire her for the same weekend, and we're just not ready to commit yet.
*deep breath*
I think we'll be okay :)
She gave us some recommendations, and FH's family has been there all their lives, so they're very helpful too...
Thanks for the welcome!

We decided not to get a wedding planner, partly because we cannot afford one, and second because I wanted to plan my day, not someone I've never met before. I know it will be more stress on me, but at least I will have the things I want.
