Hi everyone!
I have the worst immune system ever, so I'd love to hear your illness prevention tips!
Here's what I do with varying degrees of success:
1. Take extra vitamins to boost my immune system.
2. Use NetiPot frequently to clear out all of the nasty bug-causing germs.
3. Get my flu shot every year!

More importantly -
KEEP YOUR HANDS AWAY FROM YOUR FACE! You'd be surprised
how often you touch your face in an hour. Now think of all the
common surfaces you touch outside of your home. Not just
shopping carts and doorknobs. What about you pick up a box
of cereal, look at it and put it back? A loaf of bread. The mail.
All of these things have been handled by someone else NOT
wearing kiddy gloves.
Handwashing is your best prevention of colds and flu but keeping
your filthy hands away from your face is another.
I on the other hand am a champion for building up my immune
system and am not afraid of a few germs. ;)

OMG, I just realized that I was propping my face up on my (frequently washed) hands! :bbeek: I'm so getting into the habit of avoiding face-touching now.

I'm probably not the best one to talk about illness prevention since I was basically sick all of last winter which culminated with pneumonia in March that required me being hospitalized. However, I do get a flu shot every year.

OMG, that's awful! Hope this winter is a healthier one for you.

It's not an urban myth. Every time I get the flu shot, I get a
nasty case of the flu. Teenager too! So we stopped getting
them. We rushed down to the free clinic for our fabled H1N1
shot... for nuthin! The doggone flu keeps mutating - hopefully
my body is designing a supercell antibody to keep the germs out.

Flu season has arrived and we should take care of our health. In my opinion we should eat warm cloth and avoid drinking cold drinks. We should drink green tea.

What the heck is worm cloth? And what does drinking cold drinks have to do with getting sick?
I try to limit my exposure to people I know are sick for one. I try to take vitimins and all too. As soon as I start feeling a little off I will start drinking more OJ and I will take some of that Airborne stuff for a few days. So far that seems to work.
I haven't been sick much this year and hope I don't!
