The draw has gone out, so you should get an email from Elfster with who you got any minute now.

Post here when you get your buddy (remember to keep it secret), mail their package, or any other questions/chat about the exchange.

The first person that actually gets their package can start a new thread to share pics and post thank yous :)

I'm having problems with asking an anonymous question

I click on the link to view the person I am paired with. I click to ask an anonymous question and it asks me to sign in. I sign in using my facebook that is the same email as where the email came to. The option to ask anonymous question isnt available and I also cannot see the thread for the exchange either.

Okay, so I get notifications that say "someone is following your wish list" and notifications that say "*name* is following your wish list. I wonder why it shows some names and doesn't show other names.....

I had notification that someone was following me too. If that is my SS i feel bad because they sent me something adorable in the past. And it wasn't via Elfster. It was through the goodness of their heart. :hearts:

But hey, it's all about the giving, right. I know a few bits got posted around the world without Elfster. ;)

I got a notification too (two of them actually), if some people got multiple notifications maybe Elfster had a glitch and it has nothing to do with who is your SS.

I am pretty sure; that is what it says on Elfster at least ... I set the group as "Only allow members to view contact information of the person they drew in a gift exchange."

I got my buddy and am very excited! Its definitely been fun so far searching for ideas for her! :) But I think I'm actually going to make her ornament...so excited to get started!

I'm not even part of the exchange this year since we though we might have been moving during the middle of it. SO I don't know how true to it is that the person you are notified of is your buddy.

I got a notification that ____ was following my wishlist. It said the persons name too... Then I got another one that said someone from the exchange was following my list but it didn't tell me their name. I wonder if it only says the name if it isn't your buddy? Because on the one that just said someone was it said that they don't tell me their name because they don't want to ruin the surprise. So I am sure it will still be a surprise when we get the ornament!

I haven't started shopping either. I have been looking around but I am trying to find the perfect on. I still need to go back to the MOA and look at that store. Their ornaments were gorgeous!!

I know guaranteed delivery from UK to US is to send by December 9th for parcels. So those of you sending US to US should have plenty of time. ;)

I use eBay US then they can ship direct. The only downside is you don't get to see it up close and personal. Just when your SS posts a picture. You can always send a Christmas Card to them direct though. ;)

I got the oranments I ordered for my buddy today. I had them sent to me first since they were handmade; I wanted to make sure they looked good. They do, so I am mailing to them asap!

The person who has me asked if I wanted something homemade... I've got my eye on you. :snide: Hehe!

In the beginning, I think everyone did just that - revealed who they were in the gift. As the years go by, it has become a game to keep your buddy guessing as long as possible. However, you don't HAVE to keep your buddy guessing, it's just a little added fun for some ;)

I sent one direct within the US with no name attached. But as soon as they post on OW that it's arrived i will send something from the UK. And that way my "Cover" will be blown. ;)

As for the secret thing; we have always kept it secret until your buddy gets their package. I have always put my name on the package I send. I meant to send a note this time, but I forgot.

So if you don't put your name on the package, then come out when your buddy posts that they got it. No need to keep it secret once they have it.
