The party has been budgeted and we've chosen the food that will be served:

Vegetarian Chilli - Served with Fritos and Cheese

Potato Bar - Baked Potatoes, Sour Cream, Chives, Butter, Real Bacon Chunks, Broccoli, Cheese, and Diced Turkey

Chicken Wings - Sesame, Black Pepper, and Pineapple Flavor

Queso Dip - White Cheese with Peppers, Tomatoes, and Onions

7 Layer Dip - Beans, Cheddar, Guacamole, Sour Cream, Pico de Gallo, Black Olives, and Queso Fresco

I wanted to decorate it all Asian Contemporary.. But Carlo asked about the Casa Azul (Blue House) that Frida lived in.. So, I think we're going to run with that.

It's so funny.. Since Carlo never has input. I told him that he's going to have to speak up or shut up. Either put in your 2 cents when I ask, or he can't complain..

The bedroom pic looks like it would be very relaxing atmoshere to it.That's what we're trying to go for. I want my bedroom to be an *adult* sanctuary. I want to go into my room and feel like a whole person, not just a Mommy. Sometimes I lose that part of myself in all of the diapers, feedings, and toys... but I'm sure you know that.

We went and picked up paint samples today. I'm going to do some design sketches in full color, include paint samples, and send it to my parents. They're going to paint everything, and then smaller jobs I'll do myself. :grinhappy:

I'm actually not getting it for him anymore, my Dad forgot to order it in time (I don't have a CC, he does) and I'm going to get him some other stuff instead.

"These very popular figurines are carved from wood by hand and have a very nice history. The name Alebrijes was given by a Mexican Indian of the State of Oaxaca that once had a dream in which he saw strange animals made up of parts of one animal mixed with others, and those animals were making strange sounds that he could not understand. The one and only word that he could understand was Alebrije.
Without knowing the meaning of that word he adopted it as their name. When he awoke, he took a piece of Copal Wood (which is native to Oaxaca) and started carving the animals that he saw in his dream. His animals are very similar of the ones we are presenting here.
Creatively carved by the artists hand, no two pieces will ever be exactly alike. Each one a unique piece of art."
