Well now that the whirlwind of Averi's party is over I am SOOO excited about Christmas this year! Last year she wasn't really able to open gifts or even know what was going on. I thought I start a thread for gift ideas for our little ones.

I got this for Averi for her birthday and she LOVES it. It really keeps her occupied for a while. She loves to just sit in the house and bring her stuffed animals and dolls in there too.

My only complaint is it doesn't come with many balls. So I bought a bag of extra.

Not that they need any more toys, but for Mackenzie I was thinking a play kitchen set and an elmo doll. My grandma has a very old elmo doll at her house that all the great grandchildren ( she has 21, with mine being the 19 and 20th!!!!) have played with and Mackenzie loves that thing.

Logan is getting into cars that he can roll on the floor and push around, so he will probably get some of those and a little people stand and play rampway.

I will probably get them both some puzzles and books.

btw, how do you put pics in your post?

Sofigra loves their play kitchen. They get it! They know exactly what
each component of the kitchen is which surprises me. DH had to anchor
it to the wall because they just learned how to stand and they use it for
support. It's the old school wooden type that I bought when Teenager's
daycare closed in 2002. She probably played with it for a month before
she decided 1st graders were too old to play house. Lol.

I also bought their playground equipment which I would love to put out-
side. RIght now we don't have a safe space as our entire backyard is
open to the pool. That would be a great Christmas gift to the family. A
playground!

I ordered a couple of things from Lakeshore the other day. Even with
my teacher discount everything is so EXPENSIVE! Ouch!

Bought these on Craigslist. Supposed to be picking them up today.
A huge THANK YOU to the OW'r that suggested I look on CL for stuff!
I am addicted!

My girlfriend taught Kinder for 15 years and then her elementary
closed and she found herself teaching 5th grade so I bought a lot
of her Kinder classroom supplies. Everything still sits in boxes (I'm
a hoarder remember?) except for the rugs which I had cleaned. I
think our first Christmas will be less of a "wrapping gift" holiday and
more of a "come look at your new learning center / playroom."

Yea Averi has a lot of toys but she gets bored with them so I have been rotating them. Averi loves Elmo too. Actually anything sesame street. To put pictures in a post I right click on the picture I want to use and copy the image url then I use this icon

I was thinking about getting a doll house for Averi too. I just have to find one that is for younger children because she is likely to put the pieces in her mouth, lol.

A dollhouse is a great idea! If you get one that has nice big pieces without being too babyish, I bet Averi will get years of enjoyment out of it. I made the mistake of buying Ella one of those plastic pre-school style ones though and had to replace it within a couple of years. I always wished I'd just bought a larger wooden one and bigger pieces to start her off with, it would have saved me a fortune.

Well the dollhouse I ordered is recommended for ages 3+.
I'm not going to put the choking hazards out until then.

I wish jungle gyms were more affordable.

Danielle... Where was that house / ball pit made? I know little tikes makes some stuff in the US, I'm pretty site the inflatable stuff is imported, but given the company doesn't outsource everything, we might be ok buying something like that.

I ordered some balls for Annika, given the reviews from you and Justina, I'm just thinking it might be nice to have something she can get in and out of herself.
