So, I went out yesterday to get an outfit for my interview tomorrow. I haven't interviewed since my Grad School interview. I returned the jacket since I never thought I would need it again. I kept the grey skirt though. So, I bought a nice sweater top and vest. However... does black, blue and grey match?

Sorry for the bad lighting. I would probably wear black heels to tie in the black vest. Does it match or should I spent an extra $16-18 on a black skirt?

It looks fine to me...but I admit that Ron tells me I'm color blind. :bbeek:

Good luck though!! :crossfingers:

I think blue and gray match fine. I always feel a bit odd about black and blue together though, but I'm not sure that there is a rule against it or anything :)

I think I would either wear just the sweater or look for a more neutral shirt if you were set on wearing the vest.

I tend to wear blazers and vests that match the skirt or pants though.

Good luck!

Yeah the more I looked at it, the more it bugged me. I returned the sweater and vest, and got a white tux type shirt and a purple blazer. I dunno if I will wear the blazer, but its cute. I'll wear my grey heels. I will take a picture later. Grabbed the wrong sized blazer so I need to exchange it.

I think the gray and white will look better.

Good luck with the interview :goodluck:

Here we go. I am leaning towards without the blazer. DH agreed. I love the purple blazer though and plan to wear it with a tank and jeans regularly. :)

I think I like it better without the blazer too.

I can so see the blazer with jeans though.

WOAH! No idea why they are so huge. Sorry about that.

I like the white top, but it with the purple blazer doesn't look bad either.

Love the look with or without the blazer. But tuck in your cami!

I can totally see that blazer with jeans and cute heels! :)

Good luck with the interview today.

Anyone have hair recommendations? It's harder now that my hair is just past my shoulders and some of my shorter layers are barely to the shoulder. I want to put it up, but it's hard to get it all up into a cute bun or anything!

I would do something cute but plain and pulled back out of your face...
so something that makes you feel good!
And if you like the bun you could add a cute black ribbon or head band to hold back your smaller layers

something like this but without the giant poof...

Yeah, this is sort of a messy bun and the headband helps keep shorter layers back - cute :)

I don't think my hair is long enough for that. Here's how I'm wearing it now:

Boring, but with a nose ring I feel like I should keep my hair boring. I love my nose ring and thought about it a lot before getting it. Even thought about interviews. But I thought the next time I'd be interviewing I'd be able to take it out. :bbconfused:

You could always try and see! Mine is pretty short with short choppy layers and i can get it into a pony tail...

Also if you have a clip like that one, you can do like you are doing a low pony tail then twist it and clip it... looks cute and you can just bobby pin it to help the shorter layers stay...i think its called a frech twist, also looks good with a headband...

or another thing i do (takes foreve though) spiral curl then i piece it back into a pony tail so it kind of looks like a curly up do... tanny says its my mohawk style lol but its cute hes just silly
