Ok so up to about a week or so ago Luke was PERFECT eater! He would gobble up anything you would give to him plus drink his formula afterwards. Well on Labor Day weekend he was cutting his two bottom teeth and didnt want to eat much then....well those teeth are in now and he still isnt himself.

I try to feed him and he turns his head and does everything he can to keep my from putting that spoon in his mouth! ALL he wants is his milk. I am at a loss. His teachers at school say that he isnt eating as well as he used to there either.

I have tried giving him solids since I thought maybe they would appeal to him better than the baby food in jars but that was a no go too. Anyone else have this issue? Or any tips on what I can do???:bbeek:

Maybe his teeth still hurt or he doesn't feel very well? It'll pass I'm sure, both my kids had little mini phases like this after illness as well, it's just a matter of waiting it out :)

Ryan went through a stage where he just quit wanting to eat food, both baby and regular at that age. I just kept offering it to him and make sure he was at least getting his formula then. He ended up going to to normal, actually even eating even better and giving up baby food with in a month then. I have read it's normal around that age for kids to decided they don't feel like eating "food."

Yup, Averi hates to eat too. But this isn't a new issue for us. My only advice is to be patient and keep trying.

Delaney doesn't like eating either. I have an occupational therapist coming next week to talk about D's issues, so if I learn anything interesting I'll pass it on!

Thanks ladies! I think I may have figured out his problem and BOY do I have a man diva on my hands!!

So I found out by chance that Luke will only eat out of a bowl and not the jars!! Each time I offer him food in the jar he freaks out and turns his head but if I dump it in a bowl and give it to him he takes it just fine!! Seriously?!?! :irked:

How funny is that!

I feed Katie puree once every 10 days or so - if that. Usually I chop up whatever she's eating and just put it on her high chair  She rarely lets me feed her with a spoon. Now you worry me I advanced her too quick!!

No the only reason I dont do that is cause Luke was a gummy old man up till a couple weeks ago! He just now got those two bottom teeth and it was my fault I havent fed him table food...I am scared he will choke!! But at school they introduce him to more foods and they say he is doing good with them. I need to start feeding him more reg. foods but we need to go grocery shopping!
