I think I am developing RLS in this pregnancy. Lately I can can't sleep and keep waking up to my legs having a weird, heavy, burning feeling until I move them, and then afterwards comes back. I'm barely getting any sleep and when I wake up I feel like my legs just ran a marathon! (Good work out- bad for sleep. lol) ANything I can do?

Oh my word, I got this really bad from weeks 32-38 or so. Several nights I got up out of bed and walked around the house for what seemed like hours. Two things that helped me though were not letting myself get too tired - if I went to bed and was really tired it made things worse oddly. Also several nights I went to sleep with DH massaging my legs, that helped more than anything.

Thanks, Jacklynn! I'm going to try that!! I was pretty exhausted last night, and last night was the worse.

Did it happen to you during the day when you were sitting and stuff? Cause right now I am just sittin and it feels like I need to stretch my legs

I read somewhere that if you put a bar of soap under the sheets that it is supposed to help with restless leg syndrome. I have no idea if there is a brand that works better then another, or if it works, but it is probably worth a try.

Actually my MIL swears by this!! I think my BIL was having trouble and did this and it helped. Not sure if it was mind over matter though.

I thought RLS was when you're legs would kind of twitch and jump while you were sleeping? I don't know though. It sounds to me like it could be pregnancy related though, I would try the massage personally :)

I've looked it up and found out it's pretty common to get around this time of pregnancy. It's strange! I'll try those suggestions ladies. Thank you!

I get cramps really bad at night, when i get up i have to slowly add weight onto my foot to stretch it back to normal... I havent found anything to fix it or make it better, i tried bananas because everyone said that would fix it but it made it worse and me sick im not too fond of bananas unless its banana bread or banana pudding mmmmm  banana pudding!
Anyways hope it gets better try the massage thing i think im going to do that, i have noticed that when i am overly tired its worse or if i walk without stretching....
