Norah's first day of daycare is tomorrow and I'm trying to think through what she needs to have. I will be in the building and will be able to go down and nurse her a few times throughout the day so I will take them one bag of frozen breastmilk and one fresh bottle so they have the frozen bag for as long as they need it in an emergency such as I'm out of the office or I just can't get down there and she's hungry. I'm thinking about taking a fresh one each day so her first feeding while there can be that so I'm not going down too soon after getting to work.

Aside from that though what should I be packing? They provide a crib sheet (though I might take her one from here so it smells like home... is that silly? lol)

So far I plan on:
A box of wipes
Enough cloth diapers for 6 diaper changes for the day, including a small pail liner/bag.
A stack of disposables just in case
Her blanket
Paci (Should I put her name on it?)
Extra outfit
Burp rag

What else?

I'm bummed about it but if it has to happen I have the best case possible. I know her assigned teacher, I can call the room extension from my office/they can call mine, I can go down to nurse her/get her on my lunch break. I'm just still anxious of course. I haven't been away from her yet let alone have her rely on someone else to care for her aside from DH.

if she's never been away... i'd either bring her crib sheet or you sleep w/her blankey so she has something w/your smell on it to make the transition easier

My daughter's nursery school wouldn't permit pacifiers. I taught my daughter to put it in her pockets and use it during naptime. Eventually she got sick of hiding it and only used it at home. At one point they told me she could bring it to school as long as it stayed in her pocket and had a tether.

Be strong Jacklynn! Sending our kids to nursery school is hard! If you cry tomorrow just know that all working moms have cried in their cars for the babies left behind. :bbcry:

I didn't end up sleeping with her blanket but I did snuggle with it a bit. I am such a worry wart lol

Sounds like you've got it all under control :) The only other thing I can think of is a hat for outdoor play, if there is an outdoor area for her to play in. But even if there is she might be a bit little for that.

But definitely write her name on everything! Paci, paci container, spare clothes, her nappies, blankets, everything. I hope she has a great first day

Ahh, yes, a hat and some sunscreen is always good to keep there in case they go outside for walks/play.
Good luck today Jacklynn! At least you are in the same building and visit/nurse her throughout the day.

Word of advice...put her name on everything!

I know what I send Jack to daycare with...So far a year and some month later the only thing I can't find is his toenail clippers..(bought new ones but don't put them in his bag) I have left daycare without his paci, socks and sippy cups..but make sure to remind her to keep looking for them and usually get them the next day.

Sorry I'm just seeing this now. At daycare Averi has,

2 crib sheet (they don't provide them)
2 blankets
3 changes of clothes
1 hat
1 hoodie
2 pacifiers (I used a label maker to mark them)
disposal diapers
wipes
sunscreen
destin
orajel
nose sucker
snacks like puffs

And the stuff I bring everyday is
3 bottles
travel container of formula portioned into 3 portions
breakfast
lunch

They provide bibs. But yea like Dani said, mark EVERYTHING or it will get lost!
