Backyard versus Location

Did anyone have a backyard wedding? How did it go? How many guest, how big was the yard?

Anyone have a wedding at a location and in hindsight wish they had a backyard wedding?

This is the constant debate between boyfriend and I. I want a location, near our house, he wants to save a little coin and have it at his parent's house. They would love to have at their place. Their house is beautiful. I think their actual yard is a little small and I can't visualize how everything will be laid out.

just remember that if you do a backyard wedding then youll have to rent all of the tables chairs the tent linens plates silverware glasses... everything and it could wind up being more pricey depending on how fancy you want to go.....

I have seen to a couple of back yard weddings back when I was a photographer. Both were on fairly large properties. Both rented tents and such too.

The biggest issue with both was parking though; lots of people parked in the lawn, so it was good that they had the space.
