Well I guess its time I start a new journal, seeing as I am no longer pregnant. LoL!
Brittany was born on July 15th, at 1:18am. She weighed in at 7 pounds 5 ounces and 20 inches long. My labor went SUPER fast. 3 hours from start to finish. I only pushed for 6 minutes (4 contractions). And the best part about my labor was I didnt have any pain relief. No epidural. (I'm still super stocked I did it)
Brittany had a bit of a rough time transitioning so she spent the first 12 to 14 hours in the nursery being watched very closely. So on Friday afternoon around 1pm she finally got to join me in my room.
I only spent one full night in the hospital.....

Gwen I will try and get some pics posted this evening, once DH gets them uploaded on the computer. Otherwise, if you only had a Facebook....LoL!
So anyways, I spent one night in the hospital and then got to come home the next day. Katie is absolutely head over heels for her little sister. Katie has been such a big helper, I can ask her to go get me a diaper for her sister and she runs to the room and brings me back a diaper for Brittany.
Brittany was a bit jaundice but we are working on that here at home with nursing every two hours, and sitting her in sun puddles. Hopefully its gone soon, so we dont have to worry about that.
Her umbilical stump fell off sometime this morning, so thats exciting. Not quite ready for a real bath yet as the belly button looks a little raw still, the stump was bumped by something that caused it to be loose these last few days. So maybe in a day or two she will be ready for a real bath. For now its still sponge baths.
She is doing GREAT with nursing. And I have already had her tongue checked for a tongue tie, and the lactation consultant in the hospital said she looks just fine. No concern for a tongue tie. Yay!
Anyways, time to go wake up Brittany and feed her. I will add more in a little while.
Hey Megan, I got that photo you texted me. I'm working on getting it up now :) YAY for a new journal!

No I don't surf. I think my auto correct on my phone caught that one. Lol. But I do like the word stoked quite a bit. Lol.

Brittany is two weeks old today. Its crazy to think that two weeks ago today I was in the hospital with a brand new little princess. We had her two week check up to check her weight. They like baby to be back to there birth weight by two weeks. And I didnt think we were going to hit that goal as on Tuesday Brittany was only 7 pounds even. Her birth weight is 7 pounds 5 ounces. Well Brittany went well and beyond that and is now 7 pounds 14 ounces. Thats a weight gain of 14 ounces in three days. So we had a great check up and now her next scheduled appointment is for her two month vaccines.
As for Katie, she is still adjusting to having a baby sister. She adores her sister but there are times where she wants all the attention. Other than that we are all doing great and loving being a family of 4.

OMG i'm so out of the loop with all the OW Babies. One minute you announced you were expecting. Now i find your new Princess is two weeks old. :boggle:
Congrats Megan. She's beautiful, just like her Mum and big Sister. :hearts:

Time for a quick update.
Brittany is 4 weeks old. Wow these past four weeks have flown by. Breastfeeding is going so well this time. Thank God. We have decided to cloth diaper Brittany, and I received my first order yesterday. I have been cloth diapering Brittany today and I love it. I placed a second order for some more diapers and am now waiting for them to come. Yay! I wish i would have cloth diapered Katie as well, but oh well. Brittany went to the doctor last week for a check up and she is now 9 pounds 3 ounces. She sure is gaining weight fast. The doctor is very impressed with her weight gain.

Brittany is 6 weeks old today, and she has just started smiling socially. She loves to be cuddled.
I started back to college this week. And boy let me tell you, its hard to leave my girls at home in the morning. DH watches them while I am in class.
I took Brittany to get weighed on Monday and she was 10 pounds 11 ounces. I cant believe how fast she is growing. Other than that, theres not too much I can think of writing about right now.

Wow, its been a long time since I updated everyone. Brittany is doing great. She is growing like a weed. Last appointment she weighed in at 14 pounds 9 ounces. She is exclusively breastfed. Breastfeeding is going so much better this time around, and I am enjoying it so much this time. I look forward to every nursing session where as with Katie I dreaded it.
Brittany goes for her 4 month baby well check up in 10 days. Its crazy how fast time is going. Katie is doing great with Brittany. She loves her little sister. She wakes up every morning and runs to give Brittany hugs and kisses.
Katie is 22 months old now. So we should probably start planning her second birthday party her soon.
Well I gotta make this short, Katie and Brittany are both napping right now, but I wanna add some pictures before they wake up.

Holy cow I am terrible at updating....maybe thats cause my hands have been full with two little ones.
Katie turned two a few weeks ago. And she is getting so big. We had a hello kitty themed birthday party for her and it was lots of fun. She goes for her two year check up on Monday, so that should be interesting to see how much she weighs and how tall she is.
Brittany is 6 months old already. I cant believe how fast the last six months have flown by. We have been having some sleep issues where she wakes up every hour or two lately. Not sure why, maybe its because she is learning new things everyday.
She can sit up all by herself now, and when she is on her tummy she pushes herself up on all fours. I think she should be crawling very soon. She had her six month baby check up on Thursday, and she is 18 pounds 14 ounces and 26 inches tall. That put her into the 90th percentile for weight and the 75th for height. Other than that not much to update.
So I will post one picture of her since thats all I have on James's computer. Mine broke and I am not very good with his computer. I get lost trying to use his. But I am hoping to get a new computer in the next few days. So without further ado....... (also you can add me on Facebook if you havent already. Theres tons of pics on facebook.
