We don't talk too much about groom's cakes. Please post pics of groom's cakes that you used, are going to use, or are thinking about. Or just pick out some that you like and post them here!

I think the groom's cake should be very representative of the groom. I wish I had a pic of the best groom's cake I have ever seen. It was at my cousin's wedding a couple of year's ago. He is graduate of Texas A&M. Anyone who knows anything about A&M knows that people who go there or went there are usually crazy about the school. His cake was done in A&M stuff. It had some landmarks from the campus on it. It also had a 4 wheeler and a deer stand. It was pretty cool.
I haven't exactly decided what to do for Justin's cake, but it will be a surprise!

This wasn't the actual cake but it was almost identical! We didn't have strawberries on ours....my sister made it (and the wedding cake). No one took a picture of it (UGHHH)!

Another cool cake I saw once was a cake done like DJ equipment. The groom was a DJ.

Originally, I wanted to do an armidillo groom's cake, cause I love the one in Steel Magnolias. Then, I changed my mind to doing a jet, since J works on jets all day. But now, I think I may want to change it to nascar since he is a big nascar buff. I really should figure that one out.

I would love to do a bass guitar for Jason, but how do you go about doing something like that?

There are so many shapes of cake pans. I have a friend who's mother in law is making my cake. She has been doing it for years. My friend is now getting in the business herself. I believe she has a guitar pan too.

Ok, so you just get the pan and that pretty much is your cake. You would just have to find a picture in order to decorate it right. I think I could do that. Thanks, Heather!!! :D

Yeah, you can do it yourself. The pans are usually about $20-30 from what I understand. They are expensive, but then the cake mix and frosting aren't. So you could be looking at about $30-35 to make the cake. It's actually fun decorating the cakes. We did one for my soon 2 b stepdaughter that was a stand up castle, and I had a blast.

I've actually had some ding-dong ask me if I was from Oklahoma... I'm like... uh... derrrrr...!

Raider's and Bronco's...? What if they play eachother, who do you root for? =)
My team is the Browns... They can start out a season and then always do something to :censored: it up. I still root for them though, even though I have no hope! =)

You know, I will someday marry Dan Majerle.
