Hi everyone. I'm new here. I'm planning a May wedding on the beach (outdoor ceremony, indoor reception). I wanted a lighter brown color but I'm not sure what else could go with that. I know how lovely choc brown is with pink and tiffany blue but can a lighter brown go with those? I want some color for my centerpiences, so what color flowers would go?

As you can see I need a bit of help so any suggestions would be so appreciated (even totally away from brown, i'm up for all ideas)

Oh. Does anyone know any bridesmaid dresses that can have a 2nd color accenting? Thank you all in advance.

Let me think on this and see what I can come up with. If you search some of our threads there is a lot of ladies with these colors that you could get ideas from. Welcome to onewed.

I love all of those colors, but the last one I think is better suited for outdoor ceremony.

Hello there, Welcome to OneWed!

I love all three dresses you posted, but I personally prefer the more pastel colors of the last two for a beach atmosphere.

I like the first set of colors on the second dress. Does that make any sense. The color are great but the second dress just seems lighter to me.

The first set of colors says, "fall" to me. I love the light pink, but the last, blue one really says, "beach" to me. I think is the perfect shade of blue for your theme!

you girls are great! thank you so much for such quick replies. i came back from lunch and it was so nice to see.

please ignore the actual dresses. it's just the color combinations i'm looking at.

any more opinions? thank you all.

do most people feel the first colors (iris and latte) are too much for spring?

I think the last 2 colors would work better for spring. The iris and latte really look like Fall colors to me.

I think the first color is fine for spring. Just make sure to counterbalance it with a pale taupe as shown, it will be fine.

I think that if you are doing brown, that blue would look very nice and it goes with the beach theme of brown sand blue water....just a suggestion.

Here is my question. Are you actually getting married on a beach? If so, the light browns may be washed out by the color of the sand. Not trying to sidcourage you, just a though.

yes the ceremony is on the beach with an indoor reception. no need to apologize for your opinion! that's a good thought though but i kind of was thinking it would be complimented by the sand and the blue behind it. hmm i'll have to think about that. what do others think?

It depends on what location. There are many different tones of sand. On most of the Texas beaches it is darker sand. In the Caribbean the sand is much lighter and a heck of a lot prettier. In some areas the sand has a pinkish tone to it.

First, I really like that dress and the colors.

I wouldn't worry about the dresses blending into sand. If you are though, maybe do the pink trimmed in the brown? Or, use them as is and off set them with pink flowers to make the girls stand out a bit more.

I think that is more of what I was getting at. Use the neutrals as an accent. That is a really pretty dress by the way.

This is gorgeous!!!!! I love the look of the colored slip peeking out the bottom! Beautiful colors and the style is perfect for the beach!

I think a light pink and a medium brown would be very nice. I know it sounds weird but you don't want the dresses to go with the colour of the sand. You probably want your BM and what not to stand out right? Or you could dress them all to match the sand and you could really be the centre of attention!!! ;)

Personally I think a stark coloured flower would look very nice. Really stand out. I always think that a lot of flowing thich ribboning is always nice on a beach. It blows in the wind and looks gorgeous!
