It's easy to sit around commiserating our misfortunes but how about spreading some sunshine? What good has happened to you TODAY? :yesnod:

**************************************

Today I got to see my little Smurfs. I can not believe I for one second considered aborting this pregnancy. Baby A had it's little hands balled up into fists right near it's face as if to say, stop with the drama. Baby B had it's back to us, then turned around for a quick peek at what was disrupting it's sleep, then mooned us again. They are some active little suckers.

Sophia and Grace are totally sitting independently now. Sophia still likes to scoot out of everything, she thinks it's a game. As payback for being an attention hog, Grace likes to put Sophia's feet in her mouth. Why are babies so cute and funny?

Nick's been with the realtors all afternoon. The banks accepted our offer - we may finally have some community property.

Stoked! I love free tickets to anything!

In May 2010 I saw people lining up for tickets at our local market. I asked people what was up and they said Jazz Festival tix were free with a $40 purchase. Great! Nick and I love jazz. So I stood on line, got my tix and went on my merry way. Forgot about the tix until it was concert night. We dressed up, had dinner... the whole nine. It ended up being a high school jazz concert.

Taught the twins how to swim. How? By throwing them in the water. I wanted them to get used to bouyancy. They'll be starting the Baby Swim Survival classes in 6 weeks.

Okay we didn't exactly throw them in the water but we dunked them a few times and watched them scramble up. They did very well, learned quickly. No cries, just giggles. Afterwards we dried off and laid on the grass. It was then that Nick realized he needed to get cracking on the boys' crib and we need a designated play area in the backyard. Most of our grass is located within the boundaries of the pool gate which is totally not safe for our kids.

Feeling grumpy - wanted to do some retail therapy. Instead I went home,
threw old work clothes, scrubs, gently used shoes into a duffle bag and
donated it to the Women's Shelter that helps women get back on their feet.

I sat and talked with other women that are struggling through life and shared
my woes as well. It was very theraputic. Afterwards I ordered take out and
we pigged out on pizza.

I'm a pull yourself up by your bootstraps kind of girl - but my heart breaks for
all of the pregnant, battered housewives and runaways lying about their age so
that they're not forced back into foster care. :purplex:

And it makes me think... we have so much need at home, what are we doing in
Afghanistan?
