What have any of your experiences been with flower girls? Jamie (step daughter) will by 5, and Dixie my other flower girl will be 6. Our ring bearer is 6 aswell. Plus we have a bunch of other neices and nephews that are younger. Any tricks I should know of? I was hoping that Dixie and Jamie would occupy one another. Do they usually?
The other question I had was is it a good idea to maybe get a babysitter at the wedding? I love the kids to death but I can't have then running loose as I know our families will be watching but at the same time they want to enjoy themselves too.

Not a bad idea to hire a sitter to watch over them at the wedding and/or reception. This way, the two of you won't be as concerned with how the children are behaving.
If your reception is to be at a hotel, you can also rent a room so that the sitter can bring the kids upstairs when they get tired or unruly. They could watch movies or play with games that you have arranged to be in the room. She could also put them to bed there if necessary.

That is exactly what we are doing. We have four kids between us, and there will be several other children there. I have seen it done before and the kids have a ball!!!

We are getting all the little one's coloring books to play with during the ceremony. We also asked our DJ to play some children songs at certain times throughout the night. I think we will have a good experience. :bbmrgreen:
