Ok so ive had 2 ultrasounds so far. this last one she said oh youre measuring about 6 weeks so your due date is feb. 15. The first day of my last period was April 11, 2011. so this doesnt make any sense to me. Based on their dates that would have put me gettin preg at the end of May. When I got my first BFP on May 28. Could my baby be small? I dont get it. All the online calculators I do put me due in January. Has me kinda worried....:bbconfused:

Don't pay too much attention to them. My due date moved up a date. Then later on in my pregnancy I was measuring three weeks behind. Because I got pregnant through IVF I can not only tell you the day of conception but the hour too.

Did you test at all before May 28th or did you just decide to test out o the blue?

How long are your cycles normally?

If you assume that you tested positive 14 days after ovulation, your due date is February 18th. So the ultrasound is actually pretty close.

The online calculators assume everyone has a 28 day cycle.

Oh brother! I know this game all too well. I don't remember
the details much anymore but somewhere in my preg journal
it's logged. Anyway, I not only moved up a "date" but a whole
doggone month because early in my 2nd trimester our twins
were measuring BIGGER than my LMP suggested. Even to this
day I'm not sure any of us pinned down their correct gestation.

They were born full size at 36 wks. :bbconfused:

This pregnancy is going very well and we're sure of our due date
almost to the hour because I remember ovulating and DTD.

Regarding your baby, there's NO way a 6 wk old pregnancy would
measure small. They all pretty much progress at the same rate
until 16 wks (so I've been told by many OBs). If the u/s tech says
6 weeks then you're probably 6 weeks because at 6 weeks there's
only so much they can measure and identify. We ID'd this pregnancy
at 5 weeks solely by the gestational sac and the fetal poles that
showed up exactly 4 days later. I'm due Feb 3, 2012 BTW and I
ovulated on May 14, 2011 if that helps?

Do you have abnormally long menstrual cycles? Beyond 28 days?
If you factor that in, that could explain why your LMP was in April
and you're ovulating in May. I'm no doctor, just a nurse! ;)

Oops yeah I screwed up my calculation. That would be a due date of the third or 4th or so.

But it's still ok to have a later date because you don't want your doctor pushing for induction when it's really too early for the baby.

no may 28th was the first time and it was very faint +
my cycles are usually 31-33 days but the calculators assuming its 28 days makes sense

Well as your pregnancy progresses, they'll start measuring baby by his Crown Rump Length. Those are pretty right on the money and you may get a better idea of your date of conception.

I don't know Lulu. I tried all of the numbers for you. 35 day cycle. 44 day cycle. The closest EDD I got was Wed, Feb 1st 2012. Are you sure you didn't have another cycle in May? If you had another period in May, around the 11th, that would put you right behind me and on target for a late May conception and EDD of Feb 15.

I'm confused too.

Lulu, I'm concerned. You haven't been back on and you had an appointment on the 8th. Is everything okay? :crossfingers:

Just come by and say hi. I miss you!
