I recently moved to a new city, and need to find a new hairstylist. I'm dying to get my hair cut!!

Anyone have any suggestions how to find a new stylist without trying everyone in town?

My advice would be to ask any females you might know. Another idea is to ask any women with a fabulous hair cut where she got it. If one name keeps coming up, then you know.

Cindy is right, ask peope that you know. Ask some coworkers who they go to. Maybe even call up your old stylist and ask for a referral. When my girl moved, she gave me a list of names of some really good people. I went with one of them. So far she has done an amazing job.

Asking around is great advice. Personally, I have always had great experiences with stylists in Aveda salons.

Thanks for all of the advice ladies!! I actually asked a lady at the grocery store, and she recommended a stylist that is literally right down the street from my house. And when I went in today, there was a lady getting her hair cut who comes, literally, from 2 hours away in RI to get it cut by this place!!

So, I cut my hair. It's now shoulder length, with long layers, and I have bangs. I will post a pic when I get a change to take one!!

Thanks again, ladies, for your advice.
