I know I haven't given my body much time to return to it's pre-baby state but I'm 5w 4d with Baby Evan and today I realized I have a noticeble bump. When I shower I don't see it but I caught an unsightly glimpse of my side profile naked and ugh... I'm huge.
My uterus is well above my pubic bone and hard. I've been wearing the girdles/post-partum spanx so this is pretty much the first I've seen my belly in it's natural state. I went back and reviewed Evan's u/s and it only shows one gestational sac and yolk in a field of gray. I wish I could go in for another u/s but I have to wait until the end of July. I trust the tech knew what she was talking about because this is ridiculous!

Girl, I am all over the internet trying to figure out if it's gas or bloating or just a big ol' baby sac. LOL. At least at 2 months you have a sizable baby. Me? I've got an apple seed and he must have big feet because I'm waaaaaay bigger than I was with my twins at this time.
I got pregnant with my twins 14 years after my first child with no kids in between and I guess my uterus had shriveled up and grown cobwebs. I guess it knows the routine now.
(going back to your thread/house to ask about your cravings)

w/the 2 pregnancys back to back, your ligaments haven't had the chance to really go back to their normal state so they are a lot looser and you will show a lot sooner

Have you had an ultrasound? Mines only shows one blob. But there's 2 markers inside of the blob. The tech pointed it out as the yolk... whatever. Just so long as Evan grows the regular amount of limbs and organs, I'm cool.

I figured my abs were still stretched out. It's only been 12 weeks!
Hey congrats on Baby Alexander! You have a newborn. Why aren't
you sleeping? LOL.

it's not your abs (tho the muscles could still be weak if u haven't been exercising them and it could be contributing to the bump) it's your round ligaments... they're what hold your uterus in place (hence why its above your pubic bone)

Interesting. Thanks for that.
My uterus was only halfway to it's pre-twin-preg size when I discovered I was expecting again. Poor body. I relied heavily on breastfeeding as my BC. Silly me.

Yeah, I think it's totally normal to pop out so soon after just having babies!
I was showing much earlier this time, and I didn't want to admit it. I finally had to give in when a few people would say to me, "Woah, pregnant belly!" and I was only a few weeks along. I wasn't the happiest at that comment, but it definitely showed me I was bigger than I thought!
I think it's just normal crazy second pregnancy business.
I think that I look very freakin' pregnant, but I'm probably still in that chubby or pregnant line to other people so nobody has asked me yet, but I'm so ready to lie about how far along I am the first time someone does. lol

I'm more nervous than when I announced I was
getting married.
Oh my gosh, I bet so. I can only imagine!

I nearly choked telling my parents. My niece with her big mouth blurts out, "I hope you guys aren't having more babies" as soon as she saw me. Oh my goodness, I choked on crab cake. I was trying to save the news for the end of the meal.
We met for my niece's college graduation luncheon and I felt kinda bad that we stole her thunder. But 2 sets of twins was all my family wanted to talk about. They even told the waiter and he brought me and Nick double everything. It was huge joke on us. And the other patrons dropped in with their congrats and advice.
Babies aren't the end of the world for me anymore. I was ready to hang it all up and terminate the pregnancy.

BTW, since our FB friends are asking, some of you might be wondering too.
Yes, I 'shopped all of my stretchmarks off my hips. LOL. There's no way I'd show off my road map to victory for all of the world to see. I'm human, I do have some shame. :coolblue:

You're a stronger woman than I am. I got overwhelmed when my Sims had two sets of twins, and that's just a computer game.
Wishing you the best of luck. For what it's worth, I have heard that you're more fertile after a pregnancy.

When my sister was 7 months pregnant, she was JUST beginning to show. No joke. :boggle: When she was 9 months pregnant, EVERYONE thought that she was about 4 or 5 months along! People thought that she was lying about how far along she was... until she popped out a baby a few weeks later! LOL!
I think it just depends on the person.
