Yes, I shop-lifted a tube of lipstick when I was 13 years old, and got caught doing it. :bbconfused:

I have taken things here and there, from gum as a child to make up as a young teen. I never got caught, but I'd never do anything like that now.

No I never have. Once when in high school my girlfriend and I were out shopping one day and when we got home she showed me a shirt she had shoplifted for me. All because I said I liked it. Well I hid it in my closet and never wore it and in fact forgot about it till I graduated and moved out of the house. Then I found it shoved way in the back. I never even told my parents and actually took it outside and burned it.

No I haven't. I have never needed something that badly. When I was about 3 I ate a grape in the grocery store and my mother screamed at me about it for days. That was as close as I ever got.

DH always tests the grapes! LOL I am too scared to do that, but I do see his point, there is nothing worse then buying a pound only to get home and they are sour or bitter.

When I was a very young child, I took a candy from a store. My mother caught me, and made me go back to the store, tell the manager that I stole candy and made me pay for it. Needless to say, I learned that lesson well and never even attempted it again!

Has anyone else heard the announcement from Wal-Mart that they are no longer going to prosecute anyone who steals something less than $25? WHY woud you make that kind of announcement!?!?!?!

I took a costume necklace as a teen but knew I would be hung, drawn and quartered if my mother ever found out so I broke the chain before bringing it in the house and I told her that I found it.
As an adult, I have walked out of grocery stores accidently without paying for items on the bottom of my shopping cart for example. Now I will most always go back in and pay for it but once I chose not to because I was in a hurry, my one year old was screaming and my 3 year old was the kids were screaming.

My aunt works at a Wal-Mart, and people go in there and steal all the time. She said that they won't do anything about it unless a manager sees it themselves. Even if its proven on camera, they won't do anything about it unless a manager sees it. If an employee sees it, nothing will happen.

When I was younger I used to take make-up...
I don't know if this counts, but a year ago I went grocery shopping and I picked up a cd and when I got home I could not find the cd so I went back and told them it wasn't in the car and got another one. A couple days later I found the original one stuck under the seat in the car. I should have taken one back, but I gave it to my sister.
