Please post only if you want to, and respect others opinions as you would want your opinion respected. :D

I think fur should stay on the animals. Even though I do wear leather, that cow is being used for food too. So if that makes me a hypocrite, so be it. :D

I don't wear fur. The way they treat then slaughter those poor animals is inhumane. I don't see the point in killing something for sheer vanity. I have leather shoes, purses, and gloves. But, the cows, sheep, and goats used in those leather goods are in fact used for food and other products as well. Althought I don't eat any of those things, I can somewhat forgive myself since the animal didn't strictly die to make me pretty. I also don't buy "exotic" skins like snake or lizard for the same reason as fur. In 99% of those cases the animal is bred and killed strictly for it's skin. I can't justify that. Sean's mother and sisters all have fur coats and other pieces. I can't stand it.

I personally don't care. I don't wear fur and I personally think it's the most tacky thing ever. I live in a really rich area and in the winter I always see these women getting out of their Jags with these huge ugly *** fur coats on that looks like they basically have the animal on their backs.

I love animals but I don't put animals on the same level as humans, well except dogs and horses.... But I don't think it's right to just kill animals for the reason of wearing them.

I get sick when they do that seal hunting up in Canada.. or is it Alaska? I'm not sure but it makes me so sick.

This is something I don't really give much thought to unless someone brings it up. I don't wear fur, just because I don't like the look of it. I have heard stories about how some of the animals are slaughtered just for their fur and that isn't right, but I'm not gonna protest about it or judge someone for wearing fur.

I'm not into killing something just for it's fur, but when an animal is used for food then as much as can be utliized for other things should be. And some things, like wool for instance, can be sheared from the animal without it being killed. Most of the sheep that are used for wool are not killed. They are a different breed than your common meat lamb.

That reminds me of one of those Arbonne things I went to. There was a sales rep saying that a lot of this other product has lanolen in it which comes from sheep. Their product did not use lanolen. They are animal friendly. I found this pretty funny because lanolen is excreted just like oil is from our skin. It can be taken out of the wool that has been sheared! Taking lanolen does not hurt the animal at all!

I was always told that you have to sheer sheep in most climates to prevent heat issues. Which makes sense, would you want to be wearing a wool around the pasteur in July?

I dont care either way. I dont wear fur because I dont think it looks very flattering on me. It doesnt bother me when someone else wears it though.

I have to say that is an issue I really dont give much thought to. I dont wear fur, because I dont think it is all that flattering. I dont have any objection to those who do wear it.

They usually do, yes. We used to show sheep. We still have 2 ewes (female sheep) left that used to have babies for us, but they are retired now. We sheer them once a year so they will not get to warm.

I personally have a Cow hair belt and will wear leather. I voted it depends on which animal it is. I can't ever see this country girl truckin around in my dodge one ton wearing a chinchilla fur coat, that would be just plain silly. Besides, I may be able to afford to wear it but I dont dress the way a person should if they wanted to wear furs. I also find it upsetting but I'd purchase a leather jacket no problem! lol. I'm a hypocrite!! :D
