 Hi, Everyone.... I'm new to onewed and this is the first journal I have posted.
About Us
I work at C & T Financial Services Inc. (IL) for the last 9 years. I am a office manager/data entry bookkeeper and electronic filer for a tax firm. I have 2 children Andrew 10, Alexis 7. From a previous marriage that ended 4 years ago.
Brandon is graduating from Ranken Tech. college (MO) to become a (Grease Monkey) Mechanic "that's what I call him" He has worked very hard and I am so proud of him. He's employeed fulltime at Bridgestone (aka-- Firestone) as a GS Tech and works in the office to. Brandon also just started 2 months ago his own business on line.
How We Met
We met December 11, 2004 at a party that was being held by a mutual friend of ours. We ended up exchanging phone numbers that evening. He called the following week and asked me out to the movies. On the weekends that I didn't have the kids we would go out. Brandon and the children didn't meet until the end of January. I didn't want the kid's getting attached too soon.
The kid's met Brandon on a Thursday evening I invited Brandon over for dinner. We all sat down to my delicious homemade Alfredo and Broccoli pasta. While I was cleaning up the dishes Brandon took the kid's into the living room to pick out a movie for all of us to watch.
The next day Andrew and Alexis both asked when Brandon was coming back over. They told me they really liked him and that they approved. So, for the next several months Andrew and Alexis went everywhere with us. It was hard for me at first, because the kid's weren't used to that type of attention. I was afraid of being hurt and I didn't want them to get hurt again.
Christmas Day 2005 Brandon proposed to me. The ring is gorgeous...very unique and different. I will explain as much as I can...it's called a victorian style. 3 seperate round bezzeled diamonds with 30 diamonds around the 3 bezzeled diamonds and 3 diamonds on each side of the single band going downwards. The actual wedding band had to be designed which should be done very soon. I don't have any pictures on onewed... but, I plan to put a picture of Brandon and kid's, ring, and my dress...
Brandon and I decided to take Andrew and Alexis on a family Vaction on their Spring Break this 2007. We booked a vacation for Florida which includes 4 nights at Ramada Hotel and a 3 day cruise to the Bahamas. We thought it would be a nice gift to our children since we've been caught up planning this wedding. Not only that it would give us a break too... Brandon and I are paying for the entire wedding ourselves. Not, that we have too we wanted to do this TOGETHER.
Details On Our Wedding
So, far I already have my dress...I bought it this year at a local store in (IL). The dress is Italian Satin Ivory with Sage green leaves and tiny Blush roses and italian beads on the front and all over on the back of the dress. Located on the front left side there is a cut out where tulle was added with Italian crystals. My seamstress is adding more detail on the back of the dress with the old time bustle.
I already have a photographer, cater, reception site, and cake. Just working on a DJ, invitations, receptions decorations and the rest.
Our honeymoon will take place in Puerto Vallarta, Mexico for 7 days.
Our Wedding Date 7/14/2007
