I've gone a 3 hour drive before to go to my cousin's wedding shower. It was exhausting! And, then, now when I got married, she didn't come for mine or my wedding!! Oh well...

I had some guests drive about an hour to mine. I appreciated that. I personally don't think I would drive an hour to go to a bridal shower.

My mom and i are going to make a weekend out of going to my cousins FW's shower. It's in Windsor which is about 4 hours from where we live.
I don't think i will go to my cousin's in Sault Ste. Marie because that's about a 9hr drive from here. But i plan on sending her a gift.

I don't like to go much of anywhere that is more than 30 mins away from me. But if if was for a good friend I might consider driving further ;)

I think I would drive up to two hours to go to a bridal shower. :)

Well seeing with my first marriage my bridal shower was back at home so I had to drive to it and that was a 6 1/2 to 7 hour trip. But the couple of good freinds I have I would drive as far as I had to. They have done it for me.

It would depend on who it was and how close I was to them. I would probably drive about an hour, unless it was close family.

I would go as far as I needed to go depending on the person. I'm assuming that if I'm invited to a bridal shower, I know the person fairly well and we're friends. If it was someone I barely knew, I probably wouldnt drive more than an hour (thats not that far around here) to get there.

If it was someone very close to me I would be willing to travel very far for their shower. I would travel as far as I could afford to go if it were my best friend or someone like that.

Depends on who the person is. If I was going to my best friend's shower or to a family member's shower, I have been known to go as far as Toronto (5 1/2) hours and stay for the weekend. If it's an aquaintance or friend .... I am afraid I wouldn't go nearly that far.

For a bridal shower, an hour would be pushing it....

for a wedding though (as Gwen will tell you), I would be willing to drive about 3 hours...

I drove an hour and a half for my roommates and I anticipate a three hour drive for a good friends, but anything other than that, I don't have the time or money. I'd just send the present.

I would do what ever I needed to do for my close friends and a few of my family members that I associate with.

It definitely depends on the person. I'm more likely to drive several hours for one of my friends, but I'm less likely to drive to one for one of my FH's friends. I'm sure I'll go to plenty of stuff for his friends AFTER we get married!

I voted four hours any futher than that and its going to be an overnight stay. I have family in north alabama (a four hour drive ) who we drove up for a baby shower, but we stayed the night with my Aunt.
Then our cousin got married in New Orleans (3 hours away) and we drove over and stayed with my other Aunt for the bridal shower.
But I guess as long as I had a place to stay for a night I would drive as far as need be.

It would depend on the person. If it was a really close friend/family member and a bunch of us were going, then I would drive however far. Otherwise, an hour max.

My sister drove two over to hours from LA to Fresno not too long ago. She didn't mind.
