DIY Wedding Save-The-Dates

This is the prototype of the save-the-dates. I have no idea what to write on them but I want to know what everyone thinks. We will write on the left hand side and they are about the size of an envelope (standard size).

Something simple like We're getting married, the date and save the date is all you really need.

It was super fun and very original. The whole family loved it and it was fairly inexpensive. I highly recommend this route because you can customize it to truly reflect your personality and everyone gets a kick out of it!

I was going to do something similar to this. But have the "strip" of pictures on the right which also said, "save the date" (with the date in the last picture, like the one you posted). and then have more info to the right of the strip that had things like our names on it, wedding date, city location, wedding website, etc. Although we opted out of it, it was still a very fun and cute idea!!
