Alright ladies your almost there. The place is booked, the vendors are paid for, the invitiations have been sent. Now what? Did you forget something? Well if you haven't than great. I shall curtsy to your bridal powress and declare you queen! But if your like me...well somethings I couldn't help but procrastinate. Oh I know shame on me. Considering...well...my wedding is next month. And we still need to get gifts for our wedding party or at least for the bridal party and his mother. But what do I get them? What is expected? How much is too much?

I've decided to try and keep it under 20. Will that work? Ugh and this is why I procrantiated. Lets see who I need to take care of....

1)My mother
2)His mother (Should I just let him pick out the gift or do it myself?)
3)My maid of honor (who by the way is a guy but ultra fab)
5)My sister who was supposed to be my maid of honor but can't attend to
conflicting schedules.

So do you guys have any ideas. Personally I was just thinking of getting my mom two boxes of tissues and calling it a day lol but no I can't do that. So any ideas?????

Sincerely,
Shard

We didn't have much money to work with for ours. So I went on ebay and got little trinkets for each person, something personal to them. For example, my mom got a "cell phone charm" with tinkerbell on it because she LOVES tinkerbell, and his mom got the same thing, except hers was a horse (she has a horse farm). In the end I only spent a couple dollars per person, except my FIL, I think his was more like $10, we got him a pocket knife, he's an outdoorsy kinda guy so that was personal to him.

So to answer your question, yes I think you can keep it under $20 a person...I did ;)

Good luck!! :)

I think you can def. do it under $20. You can do little gifts that match each other bridal party member or do as Whitney did and do something different for each person. I found that if you buy something a bit different for each person it's usually a tad bit cheaper that way once some items are just cheaper than others. Buying something the same for each person makes the gifts a bit generic and generic wedding gifts a lot of times are a bit more.. HTH. Best of luck!!

That's exactly why we did something personal for each. Originally we were going to get ALL the guys (fathers and groomsmen) these really need pewter beer mugs. Even without having them engraved it would have been really expensive! And like you said, Missy, it seems a little bit "generic." It looks like you put a little more love into each gift by taking the time to think about each person and why they might like! :)

We got our Witnesses personalised Whiskey Glasses. (They like a drop of JD). And "Mum" who walked me down the Aisle got a personalised Wine Glass (She likes a drop of Red) Each were less than £6 ($9.71)

OMG we sound like a right bunch of pissants

I got DH's Daughters pink heart cushions that said "My Girl" on the front. £1 each ($1.61) Considering i was Marrying their Father they are technically my Girls too now.

Grandson got a toy flip phone just like his "Nanny Moo" ;)

I bought margarita glasses (which i may just keep for me and do wine glasses for the party) i got 12 for only 16 tax and everything at Ross... i am going to paint their names and fancy swirlies and girly it up some :) and even give them to them at the reception so they will have that! And im doing a necklace for each person pearls with 4 rhinestone beads, and a wedding survival kit (tylenol, chapstick, gum, mints, bobby pins, and whatever else i have a list lol)

Im also doing corsages for MIL my mother, GMILs and my grandmothers...

For our guys i am just going to buy a bunch of different kinds of beer from the liquor store and a place in Ohio (since we live in OK would give them a different taste) and give everyone a "sampler pack"

Humm for your guy what about a day of golf, or something he is into? Since he is the equivillant to MOH maybe a you and him do something day like dave and busters or paddle boats or something fun! I was MOH for my friend and she did spa day for us and it was a blast

I got my bridal party personalized tote bags which I filled with some stuff from the dollar store. I figured the real gift was the bag.

My husband got his groomsmen monogramed shaving kits which he filled with toiletries.

My fiancée actually found a great deal through bed bath and beyond for some big tote bags. I think that is what they are called. Anyways she had a gift card from work and we found some online coupon codes so they turned out to be a good deal. Plus I think they were on sale anyways.

As for me, I have no idea what I will be getting my groomsmen. There are only 3 of them so I don't have to get a lot.

I've had those moments when you are just done and a box of tissues sounds great but would never work teehee (but funny). I recently had a senior day for my daughters water polo team my challenge was each girl was alotted 25.00 for ther senior gift. I was able to get some very pretty charm braceletts ant things rememebred and had them engraved with their name and number, it was a hit. You might want to try going into one of those stores they have so much to choose from and something engraved is always a personal touch.;)

Hi
I believe you can def. You be able to do small gifts that competition each additional wedding gathering associate or perform as Whitney did and do amazing dissimilar for every being. I establish that if you purchase amazing a bit dissimilar for each being it is typically a small part bit cheap that method once a number of substance are now cheap than others.

For my bridesmaids i got them each a shirt off of Thinkgeek.com that were like their personalities. One friend laughed so hard she cried. So worth it. XD And almost all of them were $20 or under.

XD The friend who ended up crying did so because we got her a shirt that said 'i see dead pixels'. She had to send in her lappy like 3 times to fix a dead pixel.. Only to find new ones every time. Haha. She finally sold hers to a friend and bought a whole new one over it. :boggle:

Most people give jewelry for them to wear during the wedding, and then maybe a little something extra - perhaps a perfume or body spray so they all smell the same. :) But whatever you want to do is fine. :)

In my opinion, a spa gift basket with an assortment of spa products, would be an ideal and perfect gift for your mother and MIL. Spa baskets are relaxing, stress-relieving and pampering gifts and would refresh and rejuvenate the person you gift it to.
