Jonathan and I went to Bed Bath and Beyond to register for a few items. We ended up registering for everything but the master bedroom bedding, kitchen decor, and living room decor.

I feel kinda bed because we're really going to have to monitor our registry to make sure that our items arent discontinued. We registered because a lot of people asked us to so they could start buying us things. We didnt want anyone buying us anything for the engagement party but my family threatend me with hideous items so we were just going to register for a few. It didnt work. But I can say it was fun and it took us 3 1/2 hours so it was tiring. Our scanner died twice during the whole thing.

Jonathan wants to go to Target and Macy's just to get it all over with and then we'll manage and update as needed. I'm so excited!

We registered for the same reason as you. :bbwink: Just as a hint, a lot of stores let you register online. We registered with Crate and Barrel that way. The other nice thing about the stores you've chosen is that your guests can find your registries through weddingchannel.com using your names. I think that's automatic, but it wouldn't hurt to check that.

Congrats! Good for you and you can probably manage your registries online like Jenn said.

Yeah we can manage online. Bed Bath and Beyond will notify us if something is going to be discontinued so we can change it. I'm glad they will notify us because it makes things a lot easier. I hope Target and Macy's are the same way.

Registering is fun, but I know what you mean about it making you tired. It made us tired we did it!

We registered for the same reason you did. FMIL kept harping on it until we finally gave in. It's kind of nice because we already got two things off of our list but it's still going to be a pain constantly monitoring it for the next 2 years until we get married so we can keep it updated.

Lol. Getting hideous items is something my family would do!

Me and JOe had to register for the family reason also. My grandmother would call every night, begging us to go and register somewhere, anywhere, so we went to wal-mart,a nd bed, bath, beyond.

We registered today too!!!!!!!!!!!! I was just about to post that on here. We're at Home Outfitters and the Bay here in Canada. Kev and I were like kids in a candy store. We ran around with that gun and shot a bunch of stuff. It was difficult to keep him on a leash as he loves to bake, and he saw everythign he could imagine for a kitchen. I finally gave in and let him put a kitchen aid mix master on the registry just to keep him happy. At $399 Canadian I can't see anyone buying it, but if that's what it takes to keep him happy then so be it!!!
I hope you had as much fun as we did! It's like having a wish list shopping spree! Although we only did mostly essentials as opposed to fun, and we had to be careful aswell because we still don't know all the colours we want for our place and it's silly to start picking sheet and towel sets without a colour line. But what we do know is that all of our kitchen will be black, white, red and chrome. Just a fun day!

Our 2nd bathroom (common/guest bathroom) will be black, white, red, and chrome. We're having fun with that color combo and have decided that since we are looking at a minimum of a 2 bedroom 2 bath place, we want to tie that color scheme into our 2nd bedroom/office/study. We have a lot of things that will go nicely in there such as paintings, bedding, throw pillows (I've gotten 1 for each birthday since I was 11) and some other stuff in those colors. Its a fun combo to work with. They are our wedding colors too ;)
