You really should get a BBT (they're only like 10-15 bucks). It measures like 99.99 and those last .99 is huge when tracking ovulation.
Basically the thermometer takes your temperature. You need to temp at the SAME TIME every morning after at least three consecutive hours of sleep. Then you mark it down. Once you see a clear thermal shift in your temperature you can tell that you ovulated.
This will NOT tell you when you're going to ovulate it only shows an ovulation pattern.

^^This!
But i'll also add, use fertilityfriend.... they have a free email course to teach you "how-to" and why... plus the website interprets your chart for you...
Once you get a pattern you'll 1) know ur ovulating 2) have a clear idea of when you ovulate and 3) know when u can stop BDing

Thanks for the info ladies! Tmi alert..
Well, I THINK I ovulated...I hate the ovulation pain ( on my left side, super bad pains) but usually I have EWCM...but this month I didn't? I am wondering if that means I am out for the month? I mean, Ia m pretty sure I ovulated but if there is no CM i wonder if it even worked..

It's impossible to say b/c there are different types of O pain... u can have it b/c you are about to O, b/c you are Oing, or after you O... and it's not consistent each month... and some months u may not have it at all...
or some months u may have it but not O...
the same goes for CM...
u can basically have every O sign in the book and not O or O a week later than all ur signs say....
this is where temping helped for me b/c i could confirm when O happened and not worry about the did i or didn't i...

Yeah, that makes sense. I'm PRETTY sure I ovulated, because the pain I felt was the cyst that houses the egg popping ( I have it alot of the time when I ovulated, so I had to ask a doc because it freaked me out) and it hurts for a god 30 mins and comes on very suddenly.
Well, hopefully this is my month!!!!:crossfingers:
