Suit questions

My cousin is getting married in November, plus this year DH has expressed interest in going with me to the Jewish High Holy Day services. Problem is, for both of these events, is that he does not own a suit. For our wedding, we got away with renting him a tux. But I really think the time has come to buy DH a suit. Problem is that we're on a fixed income so we'll have to save up for this. We're planning on buying it in July or August, in time for the aforementioned high holy days. I know we'll need to go to a big and tall store, because while DH is only 5'6" he's definitely on the "big" side. So I guess I'm asking how much money should we spend on a suit and can anyone recommend a big and tall store that sells suits?

Aww good luck with the suit buying! :crossfingers: I'm sure he'll look very handsome in a suit!

I don't know much about big and tall suits though...hopefully he'll find something he loves.

DH got his suit at Men's Wearhouse, although he's not big and tall. It was probably $300, too. So I would make sure to save at least $400 and see how it goes. I knew a girl who sold suits at JCPenney's, and I know they have a big and tall section there. I would just call around to get a ballpark figure, or maybe check the Sunday ads for sales.
