I posted before telling you all about my upcoming weekend with the inlaws. Well I've been, I've stayed, I'm home now and I live to tell the story.
It actually went GREEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEAT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Having my Mom up there REALLY helped! I even got my first hug from his mom and dad out of our ENTIRE relationship. Even if this was only because of my mom being there i'll take it! I think they might actually like me after all!
We talked a lot as a "family", his Dad even toasted us last night for our engagment. I was just absolutly shocked! A good shocked obviously but still shocked.
They also loved the fountain my mom and i bought for them.
I did have one "moment" though... We made a deep fried turckey last night for dinner, we're just sitting down to eat, and don't i dump my glass of wine right intot he turckey platter!!!! I wanted to crawl under the table and die!!! At least it was laughed about and i was able to clean it with the entire bag of tissues. Still i just thought of all the things that could happen, i ruin "the dinner".
But just a quick update, there is hope for those of you with "iffy" inlaws!:D
